After successfully launching the comedy series last year at their sister venue at Tobacco Dock, the team are back on Wednesday 6th April with a stellar line including Slim, Dane Baptiste and The Noise Next Door.

Slim is one of the UK's biggest stand up stars and the undisputed king of the Black British comedy circuit. Physical, ebullient and unashamedly for the people, his multi award winning 20 year career has seen him perform to thousands all over the world.
Dane Baptiste made comedy history in 2014 as the first Black British act to be nominated for a comedy award at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. He has enjoyed incredible success at London’s Soho Theatre completing two sold out runs with huge critical acclaim and performed to sold out audiences at the 2015 Edinburgh Fringe, with his nationwide solo tour following in 2016.
The Noise Next Door is the UK’s premier improv comedy troupe that have taken the comedy world by storm. Twelve time sell-out veterans of the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and one of the country’s most sought after comedy club headliners, The Noise Next Door leave audiences everywhere in awe of their lightning-quick wit and totally original comedic talents.

There will be a range of cocktails, beers, wines and spirits available to order along with menu highlights of Corn Ribs with Chipotle Mayo, Brisket Burger with Smoked Applewood Cheese and Cumin-Spiced Lamb Skewers with Garlicky Smacked Cucumbers and Doubanjiang Aioli.

With inflation hitting a 30-year high, all areas of the events industry and feeling the pinch like never before. With the lead time of events up to two years and inflation rising monthly, we ask – once contracted, who should pay the increased cost?

In an unstable climate lead by Covid-19, Brexit, and the war in Ukraine, its near impossible to predict the availability and price of products, staff and tech. Quoting has become increasingly challenging when the prices fluctuate on a daily basis, and the availability of resources cannot be guaranteed. With rescheduled bookings filling up suppliers’ diaries, often on 2019 rates, is it fair to increase costs on contracted items envoking rarely used clauses to pass these costs on, or should suppliers be honouring rates?
