Delaware North UK is hiring a full-time Business Account Manager (Event Sales) to join our team at the exciting London Stadium in Stratford, East London. Working in iconic locations like this, there’s endless opportunities to thrive. As an Account Manager for the business, you will be managing sales for meetings and events at London Stadium, from initial enquiries to contracting and securing client events. What will you do?
- Manage enquiries and sales opportunities for external client events and all non-matchday business.
- Conduct venue show-rounds to ensure our venue offering matches and exceeds their expectations, guiding clients to ensure memorable events are made.
- Proactively engage with both new and past clients to encourage innovative events and discover other possible opportunities.
- Ensure event information is detailed accurately to maximise sales opportunity and revenue, proactively up-selling food, beverage, and other items, exceeding sales targets while supporting excellent guest experiences
- Attend weekly team meetings to discuss pipeline and activity, contributing to the annual sales & marketing plan.
- Produce accurate and timely contracts and pre-payment invoices
- Represent the team at networking events, exhibitions, and outbound sales activations.
- Be a brand ambassador for the Delaware North UK and London Stadium.
More about you
- Proven experience in conference and event sales in a similar setting – stadium, conference venue, hotel and/or non-residential environment; no degree required
- Skills in IT literacy, teamwork and collaboration, attention to detail, quality focus, guest and client focus, and excellent written and verbal communication
