Responsibilities
Duties
- Utilise transportation management systems to track shipments and ensure smooth delivery
- Perform data entry tasks accurately to maintain shipment records
- Tracking of shipments & dealing with Customs issues
- Coordinating drivers to events in the UK, Europe & Worldwide
- Speaking to customers and advising them where necessary
- Engage in sales activities to acquire new business and retain existing clients
- Knowledge of Carnet regulations for handling specific types of goods
- Proficiency in lead generation to expand client base
- Negotiate shipping rates and terms with carriers
- Worldwide travel so a full passport is required
- Availability to work out of hours we offer a generous pay/toil scheme
Experience
- Previous experience in freight forwarding including courier and airfreight is a must
- Strong understanding of global customs formalities
- Proficient in utilising various software systems related to freight forwarding
- Excellent communication skills for client interactions and negotiations
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
