Role Summary
We are looking for a proactive and creative Marketing Executive to help drive the growth of The Delegate Wranglers brand.
Reporting specifically to the co-founders, you will play a central role in keeping our community engaged and informed. This is a hands-on role perfect for a marketer who loves variety—from crafting punchy email campaigns and managing social buzz to getting stuck in at major trade shows and live events. You will be the voice of the brand, ensuring our communications are as lively, helpful & positive, as the community we serve.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Digital Marketing, Social Media & Email Campaigns
- E-mailshots & Newsletters: Own the creation, scheduling, and sending of regular e-mailshots to our extensive database. You must be able to follow company templates, write compelling subject lines and engaging copy that drives open rates and clicks. Being autonomous in terms of checking links and accuracy before anything is sent out. Attention to detail is everything.
- Content Creation: Write and proofread copy for the website, social media posts, and promotional materials, ensuring 'The Delegate Wranglers' specific tone of voice (positive, fun, helpful, professional, etc) is consistent.
- Social Media: Manage and optimize our social media channels to increase engagement, keeping a finger on the pulse of daily industry trends. Being creative as well as posting regular weekly posts.
- Pre-event marketing to support and promote our attendance and all of our stand partners at each event. Also to promote each show and produce marketing materials for social media
- On-site Event Support: Assist the team on the ground at DW social events and major industry trade shows (e.g. Confex, IMEX, CHS, etc). This includes stand set-up, engaging with members face-to-face, and capturing live social content.
- Event Coordination: Support the planning and logistics of webinars, networking drinks, and exhibitor partnerships.
Campaign Management & Analysis
- Campaign Execution: Support the delivery of integrated marketing campaigns for partners and advertisers
- Support the promotion of DW membership scheme: DW Superstars - promoting the benefits and webinars.
- Design Support: Create basic, on-brand visual assets for social media and Facebook group promotions (using tools like Canva or Adobe Creative Cloud - Canva preferred).
- Reporting: Monitor and report on the performance of email campaigns and social media activity to help us understand what our community loves most. A-B testing etc
General Support
- Attend weekly team meetings and provide overview reports
- Maintain, sort and update the e-mail mailshot database to ensure clarity & consistency
- Collaborate with external partners (designers, web developers) where necessary.
- Act as a brand ambassador for The Delegate Wranglers at all times.
- Provide the other DW team members with admin support occasionally
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Essential:
- Experience: Previous experience in a B2B marketing role.
- Email Marketing: Proven ability to build and send professional email campaigns (experience with Brevo, Mailchimp (or similar email marketing software) is essential.
- Copywriting: Strong written communication skills with excellent attention to detail, grammar and the DW tone of voice.
- Event Ready: Willingness to travel occasionally for trade shows and events, with the confidence to network face-to-face.
- Tech Savvy: Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and social media management tools.
- Organised: Strong project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple deadlines.
Desirable:
- Experience working within the Events/MICE industry.
- Basic graphic design skills (Canva/Adobe Creative Cloud).
