PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
The Venue Finder will have a proven track record in UK & International venue sourcing and client management. This role is ideal for someone with a deep understanding of the events industry and a passion for finding innovative and unique venues. A strong, existing network of venue contacts globally is key. The Venue Finder will lead the venue search process, negotiate contracts, and act as a key point of contact for clients and venues, ensuring seamless delivery of exceptional service.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Venue Sourcing & Negotiation:
• Conduct detailed venue searches, negotiate competitive commission rates, and arrange venue show rounds.
• Leverage extensive industry knowledge to recommend innovative and unique venues aligned with client briefs.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with venue contacts to ensure preferential terms and seamless communication.
Client Management:
• Act as the main point of contact for clients, managing queries and providing expert advice on venue options.
• Attend client meetings with or without an event producer, capturing requirements and providing tailored proposals.
• Deliver post-event follow-ups to secure future opportunities and maintain client relationships.
Proposal Development & Coordination:
• Prepare comprehensive proposals, incorporating creative solutions and thorough details of recommended venues.
• Collaborate with event producers to align venue options with event concepts and client objectives.
• Manage venue contracts, ensuring all details align with client requirements and business standards.
Team Support & Development:
• Share expertise and venue insights with team members to enhance overall performance and knowledge.
Industry Engagement:
• Attend trade shows, FAM trips, and networking events to stay informed about industry trends and build relationships.
• Continuously update knowledge of venues and destinations to provide the highest standard of service
ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
- Extensive experience in venue finding within an agency, venue, or event-focused environment.
- Strong negotiation and relationship management skills with proven success in securing favorable terms.
- Commercially astute, with a clear understanding of budgets and margins.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects under pressure.
- A creative thinker with the ability to propose out-of-the-box venue solutions.
- Confident and personable, with strong networking and client-facing abilities.
- Motivated and proactive, with a passion for discovering new and unusual venues.
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Current driving licence.
- Ability to travel around the UK & overseas.
- Always comply with the company code of conduct.
- Ability to work as part of a diverse team with colleagues from different viewpoints, cultures and countries.
