Star Pavilion Auditorium

  • Location: Situated under the nose of the iconic Grade I Listed Lovell Telescope.
  • Facilities: A versatile space for conferences, lectures, and performances, providing a unique setting that inspires curiosity and wonder. The space has a 250 capacity seating system and integrated AV.

The venue also has a range of small pavilions, meeting rooms, wooden lodges and stretch tipis available to hire on request as well as a 300 capacity free car park.

How do you get to Jodrell Bank and what are the closest transport links?
Set just 20 miles from central Manchester, the venue is just 30 minute drive from Manchester Airport and just a 20 minute drive from Macclesfield Train Station. Delegates can also arrive into the nearby village train station of Goostrey which is just 5 miles from the venue. Free parking is available
Where can you stay when visiting Jodrell Bank?
The venue is surrounded by a range of b&b accommodation and larger establishments such as DeVere Cranage Estate and The Vicarage which are just 6-10 minutes in the next village. Alderley Edge Hotel, Cottons Hotel & Spa, Shrigley Hall and Mottram Hall are all just a 20 minute drive time.
What experiences can delegates have as part of a conference?
All delegates attending an event at Jodrell Bank receive a complimentary day pass to our award-winning Visitor Attraction. As part of your day we can offer free private showings of our 3D films, access to our science exhibitions, talks and lectures and access to the Lovell Telescope UNESCO site.
Can you get married at Jodrell Bank?
We are a fully licensed wedding venue and offer unique Planetarium Ceremonies in our Space Dome as well as outdoor wedding, weddings under the Lovell Telescope and evening receptions.

We currently work with local caterer Vanilla In AllSeasons to offer luxury culinary experiences for all delegates to the site.
