Judith Rafferty

After 25+ years on the sales frontline for venues and UK-wide chains, Judith Rafferty did some significant pivoting during lockdown. Fruition Copywriting was born out of her desire to re-frame the marketing skills she’d amassed during her years in venue sales.

Her goal was to essentially keep helping businesses with awareness, engagement and sales. But instead of traditional sales outreach, she shifted to value rich written content, crafted to ignite the digital marketing efforts of events and hospitality businesses as they started to re-emerge.

Despite already being well-connected, she didn’t want to put people off from the onset by spamming them with unsolicited emails and LinkedIn DMs.

She’d already been a Delegate Wrangler for two years on behalf of the venues she’d represented for event sales. So, she was keen to optimise it to unleash her revised services on her target audiences in a subtler but no less effective way.

Her first port of call was consistently posting engaging and topical content during the regular free Supplier Hour in the Facebook Group, every Wednesday between 1.00-2.00pm. As a result, word started getting around amongst existing and new contacts about the new direction of her business.
