Great event photography shouldn't just show what happened. It should make people wish they'd been there.

I'm Malgo, the photographer behind MKS Photography, specialising in event and corporate photography across the UK.

From conferences, awards ceremonies and exhibitions to networking events, corporate celebrations, launches, hospitality and live experiences, I photograph events as they actually feel – the people, atmosphere, energy, details and all those little moments happening between the scheduled ones.

My approach is predominantly documentary and unobtrusive. I'll capture the big moments, of course, but I'm equally interested in the conversations, reactions, laughter and interactions that tell the real story of an event. And when organised group shots, VIP photographs, speaker portraits or sponsor imagery are needed, I'll make sure those are covered too.

Having photographed everything from intimate business gatherings to large conferences and busy multi-day events, I'm comfortable working around packed schedules, changing lighting, last-minute adjustments and the wonderfully unpredictable nature of events. In other words, I understand that the running order is sometimes more of a suggestion. 😉

But I'm not only thinking about the photographs you need tomorrow.

I photograph with the next 12 months of marketing in mind, creating a varied library of images that can continue working across social media, websites, PR, press coverage, sponsorship, internal communications and promotion of your next event.

Most importantly, I understand that when an event planner recommends a photographer, they're trusting that person with their client and their reputation. I arrive prepared, work calmly alongside event teams and suppliers, adapt when plans inevitably change, and make the photography one less thing you need to worry about.

You run the event. I'll make sure it looks as good afterwards as it felt on the day.

What types of events do you photograph?
I photograph conferences, awards ceremonies, exhibitions, networking events, corporate celebrations, launches, hospitality events, PR events and live experiences. From a small gathering to a busy multi-day conference, my focus is always on capturing the people, atmosphere, key moments and details that tell the complete story of the event.
How quickly will we receive our event photographs?
I know event images often need to start working while the event is still fresh. My standard turnaround is agreed before the event, and faster delivery can be arranged when required. If you need selected images quickly for PR, social media or press coverage, just let me know when booking.
Can we use the photographs for marketing and social media?
Yes. My event photography is created with marketing in mind, not simply as a record of the day. I aim to give you a varied collection that can support your website, social media, PR, internal communications, sponsor content and promotion of future events. Usage requirements are agreed clearly when you book.
What happens if the event schedule changes on the day?
Then I do what every experienced event photographer does: adapt! Events have a wonderful habit of ignoring the running order. I work calmly around delays, room changes, last-minute additions and disappearing speakers, while keeping track of the photographs you actually need. You have enough to manage on event day, photography shouldn’t become another problem.
Why should we book a professional event photographer rather than simply take photos ourselves?
Because your team should be running the event, not chasing photographs of it. My job is to anticipate moments, work in challenging lighting, capture people naturally and create a consistent collection that represents your event professionally. And unlike Dave from Accounts with his phone, I promise not to disappear when the bar opens.
