Natasha Bartlett-Twivey

The Simplest Thing We Did to Open Our Strongest Route to Market

Director of Ferris Heart Sloane Natasha Bartlett-Twivey has a formidable reputation for luxury floral and decorative displays and installations, with tailor-made creations to meet the unique objectives of every client, increase footfall, and maximize spaces to full potential.

They’re enlisted for a diverse range of businesses, from seasonal décor to targeted PR campaigns and brand activations. But they’re especially renowned for beautifying bars, restaurants, hotels and event spaces.

The massive potential to tap into these specific target audiences was what first attracted Natasha to The Delegate Wranglers.

Facing the Lockdown Challenge

Taking up membership when she did in 2019 was serendipity, given the country was in lockdown by March 2020.

Like many businesses supplying the hospitality and events sectors, Ferris Heart Sloane got creative to plug the gap left while venues and events were temporarily out of the picture. For this purpose, they pivoted by shipping DIY kits.

“The Delegate Wranglers membership was instrumental for us during Covid. It helped us generate a constant pipeline of leads and new business relationships. As a result, we ended up really busy with shipping kits during a time of uncertainty and real upheaval.”

Making the Most of Opportunities in the Longer Term

Being part of The Delegate Wranglers community was a lifeline at a time when Natasha’s key audiences were shaken to the core.

But, what about the aftermath, when the hospitality and event-scape emerged into a brave new world?

To build on the initial momentum, Natasha ensures she’s optimising Ferris Heart Sloane’s presence by taking advantage of every opportunity available, including:

Facebook Group Promotional Hours – Consistently posting well thought out and compelling content during relevant weekly promotional hours in the highly engaged Facebook group, such as –
> Exclusive weekly Superstar Hour every Monday between 1.00-2.00pm
> Regular free Supplier Hour every Wednesday between 1.00-2.00pm
> AOB Hour every Sunday between 11.00am-12.00pm

Member Events
– Attending member events, such as Hope House, which resulted in new business, supplier, and collaborative relationships with other members Natasha might not have otherwise come across.

Supplier Sourcing – Leveraging membership to source not only new suppliers for Ferris Heart Sloane, but also for their clients. For example, she was unable to help with a wreath making workshop enquiry. But she passed the enquiry on to other Delegate Wranglers who could.

The Best Way to Achieve Results

Natasha is more than happy with the impact The Delegate Wranglers has made on Ferris Heart Sloane. In fact, she describes it as “our strongest route to market”.

“Upgrading to Superstar membership gives us even stronger visibility within a group of 23,000+ event professionals”, she continues.

So, what would she say to other suppliers to the hospitality and events sectors who are sitting on the fence?

“The more proactive you are the more you’ll get out of it”, she advises. “We all feel a bit self-conscious at first. But don’t be scared to use those promotional hour hashtags every chance there is. Get involved so people get to know who you are and what your business can offer, because consistency builds recognition”.
