Chelsea Football Club’s event business invites sector colleagues to its ‘ReConnect – Power of People’ event on Tuesday 25th May.
Join event industry leaders as they debate core issues covering how our £84bn sector can bounce back from Covid-19, across a series of panel discussions and interactive polls with attendees that will help identify important industry insights. ReConnect will also enable delegates to experience a major hybrid event format first-hand, with the event set to welcome a live audience of 30 alongside an expected online audience of 200. The aim is to set a benchmark for how high-profile hybrid events can work safely and successfully as our industry begins to reopen.
Live panel discussions chaired by Conference News editor Martin Fullard, will tackle the issues that matter most in ensuring the sector can emerge from the crisis stronger than ever. Panellists will include from some of the sector’s leading organisations including Ed Poland (Hire Space), Neil Thompson (The Delegate Wranglers), Sam Gill (Story Events Ltd), Paul Black (London & Partners), Rick Stainton (Smyle), Simon Hughes (BVEP), and more. Delegates will also be able to get involved in the debates whether they are attending in person or online.
ReConnect’s first panel discussion ‘One Industry, One Voice #WeCreateExperience’ will help drive the One Industry One Voice campaign – the coalition of event industry campaigns, associations, and businesses that have come together to ensure a strong alignment for more effective communication, championing awareness and financial support for our industry. The panel discussion will cover how we can celebrate live events, and together – through the power of the people in our industry – adapt, innovate and collaborate to run successful events as the world reopens.
This will be followed by a discussion on how hybrid events should be designed to simultaneously deliver across both live and digital models. The final session will focus on tackling event anxiety, and how we can help overcome fears people may still harbour about travelling to or attending large events. As ReConnect draws to a close, panellists will be welcomed onto Stamford Bridge’s hallowed turf for photo opportunities on the centre circle.
Simon Hunter, Head of Venue and Development at Chelsea Football Club, commented: “As a major London conference venue, we want to do everything we can to help the industry emerge cleaner, greener, more collaborative, and more innovative from Covid-19. We believe the power of all of us working together in our sector to achieve the same positive objectives, will ensure it comes back stronger, ready to face challenges and eager to flourish. ReConnect is an excellent opportunity for us to gather industry leaders to discuss our future together and experience a new hybrid event format. All of us reconnecting to debate the issues that really matter to our sector now will help bring it back to life and benefit the UK economy.”
The live element of ReConnect is now full, but everybody is invited to join virtually and share more ideas and experiences.
ReConnect will take place from 10.00am to 12.00pm on Tuesday 25th May. To register as an online attendee please click here
