DW on the Road will return on 4th November for the latest educational event from The Delegate Wranglers, delivered in partnership with Lime Venue Portfolio. Taking place at Aintree Racecourse, the event will explore work and life hacks for event organisers.
The event is the latest in the popular DW on the Road series, bringing the Delegate Wranglers community together for an afternoon of learning, networking and food. This edition will focus on the small ideas, shortcuts and micro pieces of knowledge that can make life easier for busy event planners.
The programme will explore small, practical changes that can make day-to-day working life more manageable. Saving just 30 minutes each working day can add up to around 100 hours over a year, so each session will offer ideas that attendees can apply straight away.
“We’ve learned so much from taking these events around the country, and one thing that keeps coming back is just how much people love the hacks. They love meeting people and building their networks, but they also want those little bits of knowledge that make something easier, quicker or simply better."
Neil Thompson, Founder of The Delegate Wranglers
One example will come from hospitality and events copywriter and content strategist Judith Rafferty, whose session, “Lean Into LinkedIn to Get Seen and Sold”, will share ways to get more impact from LinkedIn without adding significantly to workloads or feeling the need to become overly sales-focused. Other sessions will respond to questions and challenges raised directly by the Delegate Wranglers community.
Neil continued: “We want people to leave Aintree Racecourse with new contacts and connections, but also with a handful of ideas they can use the very next morning. If we can give someone even half an hour of their day back, that adds up to something pretty significant over a year.”
Food will once again be central to the DW on the Road format. The event deliberately starts with lunch, using great food to get people around tables, conversations flowing and connections forming before the main sessions begin.
Jenner Carter, Head of Marketing, Lime Venue Portfolio, added: “There is something really effective about bringing people together over good food before the learning begins. It sparks conversations, encourages people to share their own experiences and sets the tone for the rest of the day. We love what DW on the Road is doing and we’re delighted to be partnering with the team again at Aintree.”
DW on the Road takes place at Aintree Racecourse on 4 November, beginning with lunch at 12pm, followed by the main educational programme and a showround of the facilities at the historic racecourse. More information HERE
