Published by Neil ThompsonThe Delegate Wranglers have reported huge growth in live event leads & enquiries on the Facebook group following Prime Minister Boris Johnson's roadmap announcement earlier this week.
In the 24 hours since the announcement, enquiries for business event venues, services and suppliers has totalled in excess of £375,000 mostly comprised of live event enquiries, says the community's founder and MD, Neil Thompson
"To see these live event enquiries is a huge positive step for the industry. We were expecting a spike after the announcement and it's not only the number of enquiries but it's the sheer quality of them - from 3 day events in 5 star properties for 200+ delegates right through to Christmas party enquiries for 400, it's been a great day for the DW community and the wider events industry
On top of this, in the wider hospitality industry, we are also seeing bookings in the thousands for restaurants for the key return dates, which once again reinforces the appetite for people to get back to business. After twelve really tough months for the industry, it's is fantastic to see the light at the end of the tunnel and it looks like our hopes for a roaring 20s style response might be on the way".
