CHS Birmingham has announced today the extension of its existing partnership agreements with both the ICC Birmingham and the Birmingham and West Midlands Convention Bureau ahead of the show’s arrival next week, 31st October. The agreements have further strengthened the event, and present a united front from the region as it looks to attract more events.
Both ICC Birmingham and the Birmingham and West Midlands Convention Bureau were launch partners of the show. Now, with the event continuing to grow both in terms of its footprint, and its visitor engagement, both partners have extended the partnerships.
CHS Birmingham’s Strategic Brand Partnership with the Birmingham and West Midlands Convention Bureau have seen the destination provide both partner marketing support and assistance to the show. The support is linked to its objective of targeting more MICE event professionals looking to bring events to the West Midlands. Meanwhile, the Founding Partnership of the ICC Birmingham has also continued to offer commercial support to the show, as the home of CHS Birmingham, whilst also assisting in its growth.
“We’ve always called Birmingham the centre of the UK events industry and we continue to be delighted by the warm welcome we’ve had since bringing our show here for the first time in 2021,” commented Emma Cartmell, CEO & Founder, CHS Birmingham. “Since then, we’ve grown, had to cope with the changes that a global pandemic brought us, and are now expanding. This year we’re registering our best visitor numbers since we began and to do this takes incredible support. We thank both ICC Birmingham and Birmingham and West Midlands Convention Bureau, not to mention the events community, we couldn’t have done it without you.”
“CHS Birmingham gives us the chance to shine a spotlight on both our venue and our city,” commented Donna Cunningham, NEC Group Conventions Sales Director. “It’s a great showcase for Birmingham, and a chance to share the creativity and ambition that we have, not just 12 months on from the Commonwealth Games, but after some 100 years as the centre of the UK events industry and one of the most established event organising communities in the world.”
“The West Midlands’ business events sector is bouncing back quicker than the UK average, with 8.3 million delegates attending 81,700 events across the region in 2022, including in our major cities Birmingham, Coventry and Wolverhampton,”
Steve Knight, Senior Business Tourism Manager at the Birmingham and West Midlands Convention Bureau.
"We look forward to working with organisers and attendees at CHS Birmingham to ensure that they continue to pick our welcoming region, so that we remain at the forefront of the business events industry. CHS Birmingham provides a valuable opportunity to meet with the people who make events happen across the West Midlands – if it’s anything like previous events it will be well worth coming along to, regardless of where you’re based.”
