Evolve Events, in partnership with Sternberg Clarke, are running to support those starting out in event entertainment who haven't been able to perform over the last 12 months. The campaign is called #GetTheGig. The aim is to give young performers the chance to been seen by those working in the events industry so their talent can be seen and nurtured.
There's a shortlist of 5 finalists for the competition and they will be performing live at Eveolve Events virtual venue The House of Talent on Thursday 22 April at 4pm. There will be a dancer, a singer, a circus act, a poet and a comedian all competing for votes. It's hosted by stand-up comedian Patrick Monahan and BGT winner Richard Jones will be performing his magic, after the winner is announced, at the afterparty.
The event is
also an opportunity for those working in events to come together. It's
been a hard year for everyone and this is a chance to have a good time and
enjoy some live entertainment for an hour. The format will consist of 5 new
acts performing for the audience's vote and the chance to win a £1000 as well
as an after-party with some of the event industries leading entertainers.
