Event booking platform Hire Space and venue benchmarking platform Venue Performance have announced a strategic partnership aimed at supporting venues in the UK.

The partnership is an effort from both parties to help venues use data to inform decision making, and to use marketing budgets effectively at a time when budgets are stretched.

Venues on Hire Space’s Basic and Prime listing plans will receive up to a 15% discount on Venue Performance’s data and analytics service, which supports their decision-making on sales and marketing spend. The platform provides whole market trends that enable venues to instantly compare key metrics with the wider events sector.

Venues can also compare their own performance with that of their competitors. From this competitive data set Venue Performance generates:

  • A unique set of competitive benchmarking metrics specific to each venue
  • Forward bookings intelligence and historic performance data
  • Performance Radar™ (a revolutionary tool that immediately surfaces areas of performance that stand out and deserve further attention)

Venues already benefiting from the platform include One Great George Street, Founders’ Hall, Law Society, 41 Portland Place, The Kings Fund, The HAC, Woburn House, BMA, IET, 1 Wimpole Street, RSA House, Royal College of Physicians, One Birdcage Walk, Old Royal Naval College, Royal Museums Greenwich and a further 70 venues.

Benjamin Edmonds, Head of Promotions at Hire Space said: “This is a timely service for venues at a time when accurate decision making is key. This partnership allows us to work with venues to deliver on marketing campaigns based on detailed data, which will make campaigns more effective, and deliver significant extra return on investment for venues at a time when that is especially important.”
Peter Heath, founder of Venue Performance, said: “I’m immensely proud that a business like Hire Space is keen to engage with Venue Performance and extend our data insights platform offer to their client base. The timing couldn’t be better for all venues in the meetings and events industry and associated companies like Hire Space to come together and work for the greater good of the industry.
Katy Thompson, Managing Director, Venues by CH&CO said: "With the Meetings and Events market changing so rapidly it's critical we have access to independent market data. Venue Performance's unique reports gives us that data and insight and enables us to make the right decisions at the right time. It's now critical to our decision making."
