Nominations are now open for the 2025 miaList, as the Meetings Industry Association (MIA) prepares to celebrate the sector’s finest talent, continuing a proud tradition that began in 2011.

Honouring exceptional talent in the industry, from rising stars and standout teams to trailblazing initiatives, these awards shine a spotlight on those who are raising the bar for their organisations and the business meeting and events sector. With the industry’s top talent vying for a coveted place on the roll of honour, it promises to be an inspiring celebration of excellence.

This year, nominations are open across a record 15 categories - the most ever in miaList history - in recognition of the breadth of excellence across the thriving business meeting and events sector. Two new categories have been introduced for 2025: Executive Leader of the Year and Innovative Chef of the Year, both of which will be presented at a prestigious awards ceremony at The Belfry Hotel & Resort on Thursday 6 November.

The miaList remains free to enter with nominations welcome from anyone working within, or associated with, the UK’s business meetings and events sector, with the exception of the individual titles which are exclusive to MIA members.

Nominations will be assessed by an expert panel of judges spanning all reaches of the sector. For all team and initiative awards, there will also be an additional judging stage in which those shortlisted by the panel will be subject to a weighted public vote.

“The miaList is a well-established and much-anticipated celebration of excellence within our sector, and I’m excited to lead the process as CEO for the first time. It’s a powerful reminder of the incredible talent, innovation and resilience across our sector, and I’m looking forward to celebrating those who continue to inspire and drive us forward.”

Shonali Devereaux, chief executive, the MIA

The awards will be presented after the trade association’s much anticipated MIA conference. Nominations will close at 23:59 on 13 June, and the shortlist will be announced on 24 July. To find out more about the miaList, visit https://www.mia-uk.org/miaList.
