Northstar Meetings Group announces the Interact Summer Series Digital Events, comprised of seven digital events providing face-to-face meetings, networking, industry education and product and service demonstrations for buyers and sellers in the meetings and events industry. The Interact events – all of which are produced on an interactive digital platform and focused on a specific geographic region or type of meeting or service provider – will take place June through August 2020.

Northstar’s Interact Digital Event Summer Series will be conducted on a custom designed, interactive digital platform that provides one-to-many and one-to-one videocasting, networking chat-rooms, education, instant polling and more. Planners and suppliers with relevant business interests to each event’s specific focus are invited to participate. Participation is not limited, though a history of past business or demonstrated interest in the specific focus is necessary to qualify for each event.

“With uncertainty surrounding travel and physical gatherings over the next few months, our Interact Digital Event Summer Series was created for our supplier partners and planner audience to share market intelligence for getting back to business again,” said Shalise DeMott, vice president, sales, Northstar Meetings Group. “The Interact series will provide a platform for the industry to come together, discuss future business and support each other.”

The Interact Summer Series Digital Events is hosted by Northstar Meetings Group’s leading brands – Successful Meetings, Meetings & Conventions and Incentive magazine. The events will attract top-level, pre-qualified meetings and incentive planners looking to book business in the future, as well as meeting, events and incentive suppliers.

“Northstar’s recent Women in Leadership Meetings + Incentives (WiLMI) digital event proved that our digital platform fills a need in the market,” said Angela Cox, senior director, meetings & events. “Our Northstar PULSE Survey has also shown that ever since the COVID-19 crisis began, planners have experienced difficulties connecting with suppliers. WiLMI met that need, as our attendees were thrilled to see each other again and meet new contacts, even though it was by video. This new series will be a terrific way for planners to stay informed and connected with suppliers and each other – and to plan for their future business.”
