Selling Savvy are thrilled to have chosen UKHarvest as their charity of the year starting from July 2021.

UKHarvest is on a mission to eliminate hunger and food waste through education and the redistribution of surplus food, and with Sellling Savvys audience and contacts, together we aim to educate the hospitality and events industry on what they can do to reduce their food waste.

During this particularly challenging COVID year, Sarah Morison from UKHarvest has said they are ‘so thrilled that Selling Savvy have chosen UKHarvest and are keen to inform and educate those within the hospitality and events industry on the need to reduce waste across the sector. They bring a great platform to promote the work that UKHarvest does with the Xcess network and ensure that no food from cancelled events goes to waste.’

The partnership began with appearing on the Selling Savvy weekly ‘Savvy Says’ Facebook live interview:

and have plenty more plans in place to spread the word including:

  • UKHarvest’s ‘Top Tips to reduce food waste at home’ will be shared with the Selling Savvy audience across all social medias
  • The UKHarvest ‘Combatting Food Waste Tips’ will appear on the back of every Selling Savvy workbook and handout throughout the next year
  • The Selling Savvy team will be undertaking several volunteering days at the UKHarvest new London kitchen and event space, the Nourish Hub

Together we look forward to sharing more knowledge about tackling food waste with the Selling Savvy’s enthusiastic audience throughout the year.
