The Belfry Hotel & Resort, in West Midlands, will host the prestigious miaList Awards on 06 November 2025 in its brand-new events space, The Masters Suite, which is set to open its doors on 01 September 2025. Adding to the excitement, three members of The Belfry team have been shortlisted across multiple categories, showcasing the resort’s commitment to excellence across all sectors.
Up for awards are Deborah Collins, Account Director MICE and EMS, who is nominated for the individual award. Deborah has been with The Belfry for 12 years and her recent record-breaking contracts for the new space have contributed towards converting a staggering £80million-worth of enquiries into a phenomenal £8.9million-worth of bookings.
Senior Head Chef, Dean Cole, is shortlisted for Innovative Chef of the Year. Putting guest satisfaction at the heart of his work, Dean is always inventing imaginative and enticing ways to enhance The Belfry’s culinary offer. Carefully tailoring his ideas to the situation and the needs of guests, he works diligently to ensure his concepts balance practicality and viability with originality, flair and fun.
Scarlett Barker-Niland has been shortlisted for Rising Star. Having chosen to pursue a full-time role in hospitality last year after leaving school, she secured a promotion at The Belfry within the first few months of joining. Scarlett’s impressive achievements not only shine a light on her exemplary career start, but also on the fact that entry-level pathways present a valid and lucrative option for many young people.
As the venue host for miaList Awards, guests will experience what is set to be an unforgettable night in the new The Masters Suite, with breathtaking views across The Brabazon via floor-to-ceiling windows. A scenic and private outdoor terrace provides a sublime setting for guests to enjoy a celebratory glass of fizz.

The opening of The Masters Suite marks the culmination of a more than £80million development project at The Belfry which has seen the resort almost double in size. Alongside its striking new events venue and impressive additional 149 bedrooms, this has included the building of a spectacular new leisure club, complete with a cutting-edge gym, dedicated reformer pilates studio and large pool.
