Brighton’s iconic seafront hotel, The Grand Brighton, held the Leonardo Hotels annual Agency Ball on 6th March to showcase the hotel’s extensive range of extraordinary conference and events facilities.
The Agency Ball, which introduced events at The Grand Brighton and Leonardo Hotels as a whole, welcomed over 250 event agents from travel management companies, event management agencies and venue finders who work with Leonardo Hotels – the group which owns The Grand Brighton – offered attendees the chance to experience the historic venue in action and the many benefits the hotel’s conference and events facilities offer clients looking for a space able to cater to a large range of different requirements.
The Agency Ball, which placed guests right in the heart of the 1900’s regency era on Brighton pier, featured a cocktail reception with canapes and live entertainment in The Albert Room, the hotel’s original ballroom which has recently been refurbished to showcase its historic features and high ceilings.
Guests were then invited to enjoy a three-course dinner followed by spectacular entertainment in The Empress Suite, including a three-act show featuring musical numbers in keeping with the era from Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Mary Poppins and more, alongside dancers, a strongman and a contortionist, with a DJ and saxophone player to close the evening. The largest sea-facing conference suite in the UK with the ability to hold up to 900 delegates, The Empress Suite is ideal for any exhibitions and events that require a flexible, large-scale space.

Conveniently located just 35 minutes from Gatwick or one hour from London Victoria by train, The Grand Brighton offers seven flexible meeting and event spaces, ideal for both intimate gatherings and large scale conferences. In addition, with 205 beautifully refurbished bedrooms and a new spa launching soon, which will include a hydrotherapy pool, jacuzzi, steam room, sauna, treatment rooms and state-of-the-art gm, The Grand Brighton offers an unrivalled setting for any event.
Maisie Phillips, Director of Sales Brighton at Leonardo Hotels comments: “Following the success of our first ever Agency Ball at Leonardo Hotel and Conference Venue Hinckley Island last year, we were delighted to be able to host yet another successful event, this time at Brighton’s most iconic and historic hotel, The Grand Brighton, which offers a wide range of beautifully designed event spaces that can cater to all different requirements. We are set to complete our £16.2m bedroom refurbishment next month so it was a fantastic opportunity for the events professionals who attended to experience the new wave of luxury at The Grand Brighton, and we would like to once again thank everyone who attended.”
