Travel Counsellors Meetings and Events which launched in 2022 are celebrating their biggest year to date in 2024.

The Travel and Event Management agency formed when owner Cat Rainey was made redundant from her Global Events and Group Travel job after 18 years working in the industry. Following redundancy, she then went onto set up Travel Counsellors Meetings and Events which is a franchise of the billion-pound turnover business Travel Counsellors who are a well known leisure and corporate travel management company (TMC). After spotting a gap in the market, leveraging on the Travel Counsellors community and platforms, she set up the franchise to support corporate clients in end-to-end travel and event management services.

“Before Covid we were supporting £35million worth of groups business and running over 100 events a year. When they made the whole team redundant, I knew that there was a gap in the market to support these corporate clients in an established community.”

Most commonly you will find a TMC only offers corporate travel services, and a venue finder will only support with the land-based sourcing. The difference with Travel Counsellors Meetings and Events is that they can support you with sourcing all the travel requirements, sourcing venues, land-based arrangements, event services, suppliers and be on site to support with event management as well. This end to end service is invaluable as clients only need to liaise with one vendor rather than multiple suppliers. With our network and streamlined offering we are able to save our clients time and money.

With the success of this year the team has also expanded, and we are delighted to welcome Natalie Wells to the team this year. Natalie brings with her a wealth of experience in corporate travel and hotels. She will support our corporate clients with the after sales process managing contracts, planning the final details, acting as a concierge to our clients as well as being on site to support the delivery of the events. “Natalie has great attention to detail and loves a spreadsheet! Our clients are in safe hands with her level of care and attention.” She is an asset to the team and we are looking forward to seeing even more growth in 2025!
