After opening its doors to the public for the first time in March, Derby’s newest large-scale event venue, Vaillant Live, has already made a major impact on the regional conference and events market, successfully hosting a range of high-profile corporate events in its first six months operation.
Part of the Legends Global portfolio, Vaillant Live soft-opened for testing in April 2025, with its first full event held on 10 May. Designed to cater to both large-scale conferences and more intimate corporate functions, the venue is fast becoming a magnet for regional and national brands, particularly within the automotive, manufacturing and tech sectors, where it provides a flexible, modern event space in the heart of the Midlands.
One of the venues first successes was a dynamic three-day dealer event for a leading automotive manufacturer celebrating the future of EVs. The event was a full-venue takeover with immersive branding, live production, and a blend of plenary and breakout activity across the venue’s auditorium and premium Live Lounge.
In June, Vaillant Live hosted Marketing Derby’s annual Property Summit, a significant regional conference attracting over 350 attendees. The event made full use of the venue’s flexibility, combining a breakfast networking session in the Live Lounge with a cabaret-style main conference in the auditorium.
“Vaillant Live has been designed from the ground up to be a dynamic, high-spec space that works as well for intimate meetings as it does for 2,000-person conferences. It’s fantastic to see the venue already delivering on that vision, whilst being embraced by the regional business community.”

Located in Derby city centre, just minutes from the train station and 30 minutes from East Midlands Airport, Vaillant Live is equipped with top-tier AV, adaptable layouts, and dedicated event support – including in-house catering and production offices.
The venue’s Live Lounge has proven especially popular for its flexibility and character, with the ability to be split into four intimate spaces or used as a standalone event setting.
Initial interest has been strong across the Midlands and beyond, with several major conferences and corporate gatherings confirmed for the coming months.
“We see Vaillant Live as a new kind of venue for a new kind of event,” added Zoe Ward, sales director – C&E at Legends Global. “Whether you’re a national brand launching your next innovation or a regional organisation hosting a team summit, we’re here to help you bring it to life, in a space that adapts to your ambition.”
