For our latest SUPPLIER FOCUS feature, we caught up with Sandra Gannon, owner of Revenue Puzzle to find a little bit about her and what her company does
Q. In a nutshell, tell us about your business and your role there
A. Here at Revenue Puzzle we can act in the role of revenue manager for your property, or work in an advisory capacity giving you the support your hotel needs. We have the confidence and knowledge to support your business in all areas of revenue management. I am the owner and main hotel revenue management consultant.
Q. How did you get started in the industry?
A. I started 26 years ago with an apprenticeship in Germany before moving to London as receptionist. I then worked my way up through Front office Assistant Manager, Groups Sales, Events, Leisure Sales all in the UK & Middle East before arriving as Front Office Manager in Dublin. I then was privileged to start at The Westin Dublin as Revenue Manager before leaving as Director of Revenue Management to gain Group experience in O’Callaghan Collection and then fancied another opening of the Marlin Dublin. COVID hit and I went out on my own as Revenue Puzzle.
Q. Best moment for you at your company so far?
A. as I only started a few weeks ago its all very exciting. I managed to build my website, create my own business profiles on LinkedIn, facebook and Instagram and now working on getting the word out.

Q. And finally - you’ve got one question to ask a famous person – who would it be and what would you ask?
A. I would ask Angela Merkle – Chancellor of Germany and fellow East German – Where do you think you would be now in your professional career if the wall didn’t come down? I never thought I would be in the hospitality industry given the limited opportunity back then to get an apprenticeship in hotels.
