Who is the Modern Conman? Hi! Gavin here, I am a professional close up magician using sleight of hand, misdirection and obviously cheating, to bring what has to be one of the best forms of entertainment for any event. Based in Birmingham, I was originally in the construction industry and a late starter to the entertainment world. Purchasing my first trick at a market stall around 20 years ago and performing it to friends I soon realised the astonishment and sheer joy that magic brings to people. After many years of practice and dedication, I am now a full member of the international brotherhood of magicians. In 2016 became a winner of the wedding industry awards. Award Winning Magician Performing now for 2 decades, I have had the pleasure of performing for celebrity clients, hundreds of weddings and even performed in Dubai by appointment. Magic is perfect for bringing groups together, breaking that slow period at your wedding, or even advertising your brand. I like to think I bring a different image too, as we all know magic doesn’t exist right. So I class myself as the Modern Con-man, but don’t worry, I always return what I steal.
