Bletchley Park

Bletchley Park is the home of the World War II Codebreakers and the birthplace of modern computing . It’s now also one of the most unique and exciting venues we’ve visited in a long time. This Milton Keynes location has two state-of-the-art event spaces and a dedicated events team that solve all the puzzles hosting an event can throw up. What we found was a venue that doesn’t just break codes - but is breaking the mould for what an event venue can be when you combine incredible history and modern meeting spaces.

Bletchley Park was the next stop on our Milton Keynes tour — and, wow, it left an impression. This venue truly stands out, offering a unique appeal that sets it apart from typical event spaces. Bletchley Park isn’t endless corridors of soulless meeting rooms, this is a venue that’s been refined into something very special.

A brand new, world-class 250-seat auditorium and a large event space adjacent to it stand out as spaces capable of just about everything from hybrid events, launches, networking - and so much more.

But there’s more to Bletchley Park than just event space. One of its greatest charms is the chance to explore the remarkable heritage site itself. The stunning Mansion and the codebreaking huts and blocks sit within acres of natural beauty and are steeped in a legacy of innovation, problem-solving, and resilience. This is the very place where brilliant codebreakers, including Alan Turing, cracked the Enigma code - a moment that turned the tide for the allies in World War II. For event planners, it offers a unique opportunity to host functions in a setting that’s deeply woven into one of Britain’s proudest moments.

We’re kind of on a Milton Keynes discovery tour at the moment - if you couldn't tell. On our trip we’ve been loving the Buckinghamshire city. Bletchley Park is this week's stop and it’s the kind of fantastic event space that you just don’t get to visit all the time.

It’s got plenty of free parking - about 500 spaces - so more than equipped to handle a full auditorium, full event room, and with some left over. Another big bonus for us is the rail and air links. Luton airport is less than 40 minutes away, with Bletchley Station (only 40mins from Euston) being a leisurely 5 minute stroll from the venue! We made it down by car and noted dedicated coach parking, drop off points, and EV charging on our way in.

It’s not just size of the museum that makes Bletchley Park stand out — it’s the history, the atmosphere, and the sheer versatility of the space. Whether you're planning outdoor team-building activities, would like to arrange guided tours, or an unforgettable awayday, almost every corner of this iconic site adds impact to your event. And that’s just the beginning. We entered and were stunned by the scale of this amazing venue, it’s a brilliant mesh of old and new, all surrounded by gorgeously kept green spaces. The Mansion is at the venue’s core, but closer to the entrance you’ll find The Visitor Centre, Learning Centre, Teleprinter building and of course, the brilliant Fellowship Auditorium. We took a walk around the venue and found it super easy to navigate - there’s maps on site for delegates and there’s a beautiful body of water in the centre of the grounds to help you keep your bearings!

After arriving - the incredible corporate events team got chatting to us straight away. They told us all about Bletchley Park’s corporate partnership programme, which offers a wide range of unique event opportunities for companies looking to align their corporate social responsibilities with the support of this historic site. Corporate partnership provides access to exclusive spaces at this venue, with the Ballroom and Billiard Room and the Dining Room in the Mansion available as event spaces only for partners of Bletchley Park. These are stunning rooms in an iconic listed building and could take your event to the next level for clients who expect the most premium of events - or for those teams close to Bletchley Park.

We were really impressed by the plethora of corporate engagement opportunities on offer here. The events team are extremely knowledgeable (the original team of codebreakers weren’t so bad themselves!). They seemed to have an answer for any question that had - and most of all - they were simply lovely - we had a great time here and so much can be said for the core of a great venue starting with the attitude and outlook of the team at its heart!

Every building at Bletchley Park seems to be stuffed to the rafters with history. The Mansion is a remarkable space, meticulously restored with evident care and attention to detail. Its preservation reflects a deep respect for its history and a genuine commitment to maintaining its integrity. Rooms like The Billiard Room and The Dining room are elegant, charming period areas that could be brilliant for themed events - or even on-location filming for production companies.

The whole venue - by extension - is maintained to one of the highest standards we’ve seen in a long time. Every inch of this venue is pristine, clean and tidy with staff on every corner for guests. We were really wowed and again - this just felt like further proof of the passion of the team here.

The Fellowship Auditorium building is the latest addition to Bletchley Park - and in line with the technological background of this site - this building feels like it’s been sent from the future in order to tell the story of the past.

The Radley Room is next to it and without going into too much detail before we show it off as one of our Meeting Space Highlights this is an area perfect for team breakouts - or small/medium sized exhibitions.

One of the best things about this place is how informative it is, there’s so much to get stuck into! You’ll get a real feel for the incredible codebreaking that happened at Bletchley Park during World War Two. From cracking the Enigma code to uncovering other top-secret intel, the exhibits really bring the story to life. With over a dozen actual Enigma machines on display and loads of hands-on displays, it’s a brilliant way to dive into Britain’s wartime smarts. Perfect for a post-event wander if you’re up for something inspiring and a bit different. - if your delegates are anything like us - they’ll love it!

Food wise you won’t find yourself puzzled and scratching your head (sorry – couldn’t resist!) thanks to the fantastic catering options available. The venue doesn’t offer traditional seated dinners in a designated area - but provides bespoke catering options tailored to suit a wide range of event styles.

On-site, there are two main cafés open to guests: the Block C Coffee Shop, which is a relaxed space perfect for a light lunch, a hot drink, or a slice of cake. And Hut 4, which serves freshly made hot meals, sandwiches, salads, and a tempting selection of baked treats.

We also spotted the seasonal Hut 1 Kiosk, which pops up during the warmer months offering drinks and ice cream - ideal for summer events. We were lucky enough to be visiting during this amazing spring spell of weather we’ve had, so got to chill out amongst the green space and take all of this amazing space in.

Despite being a historic venue, it’s in Bletchley Park’s DNA to break convention - so there’s no traditional meeting rooms in this venue. For larger functions, the auditorium features its own dedicated reception area, complete with an arrival desk and cloakroom, making guest registration smooth and efficient.

We also found the access for event setup and striking to be well-considered, with a wide loading corridor connecting the reception area to both the Radley Room and the auditorium via two generous entrance doors, allowing for easy flow of guests and equipment alike!

This room seats 250 and is just superb. The whole interior is totally purpose-built for modern events. It’s an excellent fit for conferences, seminars, and presentations thanks to the comfortable tiered seating. The auditorium is equipped with a state-of-the-art sound, lighting, and video system, complete with broadcast capabilities for hybrid events.
