Druids Glen Hotel & Golf Resort

Druids Glen Hotel & Golf Resort is a serene, luxurious escape - only thirty minutes from Dublin. This resort lies within 360 acres of countryside between the Wicklow Mountains and the Irish Sea, providing the perfect location for a one-of-a-kind conference!

As soon as we stepped into Druids Glen Hotel & Golf Resort, we could quickly tell that the team here deliver experiences that truly live up to the resort’s five-star rating. Three AA Rosettes for culinary excellence across the hotel’s three restaurants only go further to bolster the impressive set of accolades at this very special Irish destination.

Druids Glen Hotel & Golf Resort boasts an impressive combination of Leisure and Conferencing facilities, from the two stunning championship golf courses that wrap around the resort, to an impressive spa, to eight fantastic event suites that scale from tiny team meetings to powerful 400 person parties!

Druids Glen Hotel & Golf Resort estate dates back to the 1600’s, with the amazing, central Woodstock House, being built nearly 200 years later in 1780. While the legacy of decadence and luxury flood the venue to this day - the events team have found a way to imbue an exciting freshness to all of the spaces, by implementing modern functionality to these classic rooms. The Ballroom’s ability to split into two spaces and the all new outdoor area “The Woodland” for team building and corporate activities are stellar examples of this approach.

We were very excited pulling into Druids Glen Hotel & Golf Resort, the entrance is cosy and welcoming with lush greenery complimenting the exterior facade of this amazing hotel. It quickly clicked why they call Wicklow (home to Druids Glen Hotel & Golf Resort) the Garden Of Ireland.

As we entered the staff here were unbelievably welcoming. There’s a properly classic Irish charm about the place that you can’t help but love. The staff ooze warm professionalism and know everything there is to know about this fab venue with pride. There’s clearly a really great culture here that seeps through all the way from the events team and to the staying experience itself. Positive perfectionism is the best way we can put it! The Lobby is luxurious but cozy and the lounge areas continue this feel. There’s live music here on occasion, a head turner to welcome delegates staying here for an event.

As we mentioned before, the location of Druids Glen Hotel & Golf Resort is amazing, less than an hour from Dublin Airport (which facilitates daily international long-haul flights. Druids Glen Hotel & Golf Resort is also just ten minutes away from the nearest railway station and well connected by bus with the 133, 184, 84 and 84X all having routes close to the venue. If you’re not traveling by plane or train, no need to fear, there’s 300 car parking spaces here, plus a coach pull-in zone for your guests to arrive by four or more wheels.

The Bedrooms at Druids Glen Hotel & Golf Resort are classy and impressive. These will have guests staying over after a Gala Dinner or Awards night sleeping as sound as can be - just don’t miss checkout! Your delegates will have the choice of Deluxe Guestrooms, Family Guestrooms, Superior Guest Rooms, or for clientele with the most premium of tastes, the Executive Suite will do just the trick. The rooms are really smartly put together, with features like crackling fires, sprawling couches and premium throws bringing a richness and grandeur into every single room that’s a key component of Druids Glen Hotel & Golf Resort as a whole.

As we move to the events side of things Druids Glen Hotel & Golf Resort has it all to show off, their eight meeting spaces, including a stunning ballroom - a truly unforgettable space. Maybe the jewel in the crown of the eventing capabilities, however, is Druids Acres. Druids Acres is five acres of outdoor team building ground, a vast amount of space for all kinds of outdoor activities for your team. We toured this spaces and there’s truly so much capability here. Not to mention how on-top of the latest and greatest initiatives the Druids team are, they working with expert partners, across all sorts of fields (no pun intended) to put on a variety of all-terrain activities and exciting challenges.

The aforementioned Woodland space is another gorgeous, lush, outdoor area brimming with possibilities, this is a fantastic smaller outdoor space that can be set up in so many ways, for corporate launches, outdoor dinners, parties and so much more. We love the way the team launched this space itself when it first opened, it was a fantastic showcase of how event organisers could utilise this scenic space for events other than weddings. Additionally, the team at Druids Glen Hotel & Golf Resort can recommend a range of team building activities just minutes away all across glorious Wicklow.

When it comes to the facilities at Druids Glen Hotel & Golf Resort, we can only say that they’re top class. There are four amazing restaurants, some of which can be used for private hire, each with a totally unique character and style, meaning there’s great flexibility here when looking to organise your event, all the bases are covered.

Woodstock house is a late Georgian country house, the original building on the estate that has been designed to keep the exclusive feel of the regal manor intact. It’s got private rooms, private dining and meeting spaces all wrapped into one, but we’ll leave it at that until we get to the meeting space highlights.

Next up is Hugos, as we previously mentioned, this is Druids Glen Hotel & Golf Resort’s flagship restaurant that holds 2 AA rosettes for culinary excellence - and WOW, excellent indeed in the food. This is a proudly Irish establishment that used the absolute best Irish produce available. The space itself is bright, airy and minimalist with gorgeous teal and wood textures that bring the space to life - that’s until the food is served - which really steals the spotlight.

The Garden Rooms and Bar stand within the centre of the hotel complex and feels as warm and cozy as you’d expect from being at the core of such a welcoming building. This restaurant overlooked the famous 13th Hole on Druids Glen Hotel & Golf Resort Golf Course as well as the stunning landscape beyond, this room is a treat to be in, never mind to eat in. The views are immaculate and while we’re always fonder of the events side of things, we couldn’t help but be impressed by the elegance of the course that hosted the Irish Open on the European Tour from 1996 to 1999.

Lastly, but absolutely not least is maybe the most charming space of the lot, the Druids Glen Hotel & Golf Resort Golf Club, after the opulence of the amazing other rooms, we thought this might be the odd room out, but absolutely not. This is a calm and welcoming restaurant that offers some supreme bites and a lovely setting. The Golf Club and the Garden Rooms can’t be hired privately, but the larger spaces, Hugo’s and Woodstock House both can!

And for the facility finale there’s the absolutely sublime Spa which we were so impressed with on our tour. Druids Glen Hotel & Golf Resort Spa offers a truly special escape in a space that includes a hydrotherapy pool, sauna, steam room, vitality pool, and heated loungers. This is a brilliant space to treat delegates to a pre or post event treatment - from massages to facials and so much more.

We were super pleased to see that the meeting spaces at Druids Glen Hotel & Golf Resort were all located on one floor, meaning a fantastic level of accessibility and ease of use between spaces, it also meant that the Ballroom Foyer can double up as a registration spot for almost any of these amazing meeting spaces - with the space welcoming, warm and big enough to be its own reception area.

For those bigger events, be they be in The Ballroom or in Woodstock House, there’s a dedicated loading in and out space for all of your equipment to make your event as unique and custom as it was when you first dreamt it up!
