This gorgeous hotel was built in 1996 and is known locally as the best hotel in the area. As well as it’s gorgeous golf course, driving range and amazing spa it comes complete with 76 bedrooms and it impresses from the moment you drive through the gates.

As you enter the courtyard outside the hotel, you are surrounded by the hotel – some of it belonging to the beautiful spa and excellent leisure facilities that they offer.

Once inside reception, you are greeted by the very friendly staff and the welcoming lobby areas. It really is a lovely place and feels definitely more 5 star than 4. Just past reception is the fab Fairway Bar and beyond that the gorgeous Fairway Grill – both overlooking the 18th fairway and green of the golf course. It really is a lovely place to spend some time.

Parking: There are quite a lot of places directly outside the main hotel entrance but beyond that there’s space for 500 cars in the overflow car park. All free.
Coach / Bus Pick-up Location at hotel: Yes, this is possible. The hotel has its own private drive and coaches can drop off / pick up in the courtyard and park in the overflow car park if needed.

The bedrooms at Formby Hall are lovely and very, very stylish. Excellent flat screen TVs. Super comfy beds and lavish bathrooms again give you that 5 star feel. I really loved the bedrooms and the loft rooms are super special!

Wi-fi: Yes, and excellent service throughout the hotel and all its facilities
Fitness gym: Yes, and an absolutely amazing one too. Lots of equipment, resistance machines and space. The gym is really excellent – loved it!
Spa & Swimming Pool: Now this is where the hotel really comes into its own – in a word, the spa is spectacular! Super lush facilities, excellent 20m indoor swimming pool with fab jacuzzi, Himalayan salt sauna, Aromatherapy steam room and much more. This is a really special spa – your delegates will love it!

RESTAURANTS & BARS
As mentioned earlier, the hotel has an excellent Fairway Bar which overlooks the golf course, complete with Tommy Fleetwood lounge (as Formby Hall is his home golf club!) – with plenty of seats to chill out, do some work, meet a colleague or just plain taking in a nice coffee. I love it here and so do many other due to the people who frequent the place. You can get the usual coffees, alcoholic drinks, and bar snacks.

The Fairway Grill overlooks the 18th green and is home to 120 covers. It’s a fabulously relaxed place with lots of different sized tables. Ideal for your groups for lunches or gala dinners – they can take a drink in the Fairway Bar beforehand. Their chargrill is at the heart of all the cooking here with the finest seasonal ingredients, simply prepared yet rich in flavour.

MEETING / CONFERENCE ROOMS /
Formby Hall has two large conference rooms (Ambassador & Diplomat) on the first floor and two smaller meeting rooms (Links & Parkland) on the second floor of the hotel and they are all excellent rooms. The two largest rooms have terraces with lovely views over the manicured lawns of the golf course and are fantastic – they have that real wow factor!

The hotel is also big on team building activities and they work with local experts to be able to offer all manner of activities onsite – so that could be group percussion, learning the Haka, Crystal Maze, and many more activities.

The Ambassador
Located on the first floor, this is the largest conference room at Formby Hall and can comfortably seat over 300 in theatre style. The room also splits into three smaller rooms so offers really good flexibility. Perfect for large conferences, training seminars, presentations, networking events and dinners. It also has a fab terrace that you can use for coffee breaks, drinks receptions etc.

Meeting Space Highlight: The Diplomat
