Transformed in 2022, the Hyatt Regency Stratford is a sleek, contemporary hotel with a few quirky elements that make it an inspired choice for your next meeting. Overlooking the Olympic Park and housed within the Westfield Stratford complex, it stands out in the area for its striking setting and the impressive number of meeting and event spaces on offer.
The Hyatt Regency Stratford has excellent underground links - as well as being fantastically located in the north-east of London. Exciting hotspots like Hackney and Dalston are only a few stops down the line, and the venue itself is about 100 meters from the exit of Stratford Station.
There are ten meeting spaces in the venue, as well as a restaurant and terrace that seats up to 120 in a funky relaxed dining concept. There’s also plenty of other smaller private dining rooms, or meeting rooms for up to 90 pax.
With the London Stadium, Olympic Park and Hackney Wick only minutes away, this venue provides instant access to some of London’s most culturally rich, trendy areas, without the overcrowded chaos of a super-central location.
Refurbished from a Holiday Inn in 2022, this is now a radically new hotel that impresses with some luxury finishes and forward-thinking events touches. The team here have leaned into event space functionality and we’re embracing that approach with open arms!
The Venue being within Westfield Stratford means a quirky entrance - one that sees you take a lift up to the third floor Lobby and reception area, that stretches out in this cool open-plan way onto the bar, and beyond, the hotel’s restaurant, The Elondi. The staff here were super welcoming and went above and beyond when showing us to our room and greeting us - a pattern we’re noticing at Hyatt Regency hotels.
But let's rewind quickly before we get to the fantastic bedrooms. Getting your delegates from wherever in the world they might be - to Stratford is simple. The hotel is adjacent to a huge multi-storey car park that supports the Westfield, meaning again, only a few minutes walk from the car park. International guests will also have no problem arriving, London City Airport is 20 minutes away via car or by the DLR, with Heathrow close and easily accessible from central London via the Elizabeth Line. The joys of London transport mean that you feel a stone’s throw from just about everywhere, for example Kings Cross Station is only seven minutes away by train.
Back to the bedrooms - the recent refurbishment means these are some seriously smart living areas for your guests. The Hyatt’s Regency line of hotels shifts the focus to more luxurious and premium finishes, and you can more than tell the kind of care and affection on offer here. We loved the design style across the rooms. That touch of class is apparent in the polished stone finishes as well as brass detailing all over that really bring the spaces to life.
These are the kind of bedrooms delegates will love crashing out in after a great day of conferencing - with plenty of room to prep the night before for talks/training etc.

On our trip, we were dazzled by the Dining and Catering operations here at Hyatt Regency. All concentrated within one main open-plan space the bar and restaurant have been lovingly refurbished - with the room feeling revitalized and really welcoming - particularly with the incorporation of the fantastic terrace space which is open all day for drinks, as well as breakfast and dinner. We thought straight away that the terrace would make a brilliant space for a private hire function. An outdoor barbeque, dinner or drinks reception could be a properly impressive option with more than enough room for 100 people standing.
Hyatt’s sustainability efforts are absolutely second to none - and really had us floored. The hotel holds a BREEAM ‘Excellent’ certification with all of their energy being 100% renewable. There’s zero waste to landfill, or single-use plastics either. The sustainability efforts really were woven into every aspect of the hotel - in our room, there were refillable bathroom products, and the team showed us their on-site eco-digester - a really impressive addition (since 2021, it’s handled over 650 tonnes of waste—enough energy output to power nearly 46,000 homes for a day!)
Outside, the venue is just as green. From the wildflower lawn on Chestnut Plaza to over 11,000 plants and 1,300m² of green roofs, biodiversity is clearly a priority for the fantastic team here. There’s also rainwater harvesting tanks that help flush the toilets, and beehives are being added to the roof this spring! We honestly can say that this might be one of the most sustainable venues we've ever seen - Hyatt Stratford really is setting a new standard for eco-conscious venues in the capital!
When it comes to team building - there’s some really exciting opportunities at this venue. As well as all of their indoor and outdoor meeting space being available to use for team building - the Hyatt Stratford happens to be next door to a Gravity Max, which might just be the perfect fun team building spot. Go Karting, VR tag, Mini Golf, Digital darts and so much more is available here - this is a pure adventure zone that we wish we’d had the time to check out - but maybe you can with your next event. What we did have time to do was pop into the gym within the hotel - it’s a lovely well-kept space with Peloton bikes and quite the inspirational view of Olympic Park!
Next up for us was our tour around the fantastic meeting spaces here - and we’re happy to say there’s some great variety to the meeting rooms at Hyatt Stratford. There’s 10 in total, split across the 3rd and 12th floors, and they all come with loads of natural light - which makes such a difference for long training days or workshops. The largest space here can hold up to 120 theatre-style or 90 cabaret and loads of the rooms can be split into smaller setups depending on what you need. All the rooms seemed to have excellent AV, and the team told us all about their all-inclusive packages - we liked the sound of it! Their approach just seems to take that all-to-familiar stress out of planning your event.
Also, worth noting, If you're running a larger event, the foyer areas on either floor work perfectly for a registration desk and welcome space. That said, the meeting spaces require a trip in the lift from the entrance level!

Meeting Space Highlight: Stratford Suite
We really liked the Stratford Suite. It’s the hotel’s largest space and feels tucked-away in the best possible way - like a totally private escape for your venue. There’s tonnes of natural light and a very modern feel to the space - without it feeling at all soulless. With capacity for up to 90 guests (cabaret or theatre-style), it’s ideal for private conferences, team away days or intimate dinners where exclusivity is key. The suite is set behind closed doors, with its own dedicated foyer, giving events a real sense of privacy and focus.

Meeting Space Highlight: The Lea Suite
The twelfth floor Lea Suite is next on our highlights and is probably the most flexible space on the list - the room can be split into two and used in a modular way - one side for reception - one side for networking, for example. This space properly won us over with its light, bright atmosphere and sweeping views from the 12th floor. It’s a smart choice for conferences, speaker sessions or larger presentations, with space for up to 120 guests theatre-style. However, what really sets it apart, is the adjoining terrace - a stylish outdoor spot that can host up to 50 people. Perfect for breakout drinks, networking, or simply catching your breath between sessions. Plus, the built-in AV makes tech setup a breeze.

Meeting Space Highlights - The Elondi Terrace
Last but absolutely not least on our highlights is the Elondi Terrace. Come on! You can’t go wrong with such a beautiful outdoor space. This area is adjacent to the beautifully styled Elondi restaurant which boasted a very on trend looking mid-century/Nordic remix design style. The terrace itself is semi sheltered for if the rain does begin to fall and can incorporate a large screen if an outdoor presentation or awards ceremony is taking place! This is a super funky space and might secretly be our favourite - so much space to socialise!

We left Hyatt Stratford genuinely impressed. From the sleek refurb to the thoughtful event spaces, this venue balances function and flair in a way that really elevates it above the norm. Add some seriously amazing transport links, standout sustainability credentials, and brilliant team-building opportunities right on the doorstep - and you've got a venue that wows us on every level!
