Kettering Hotel & Spa

I really enjoyed my visit to the Kettering Park & Spa. Right from the start I was given a really warm welcome by all the team, who were super friendly and helpful throughout – which says a lot about a venue. The leisure facilities are amazing – I particularly enjoyed the swimming pool, spa and the restaurant, where the food was truly delicious. Trust me on this one!

The meeting space options were also terrific, with plenty of different meeting room types on offer. So, for example, if you wanted to run a larger conference with breakouts, the hotel would be able to accommodate it easily, and then some! When you factor in the great prices, the multiple catering options (Conference Café, the restaurant and outside spaces) and the fantastic team that work here, your event will definitely be in safe hands. Go see it.

This perfect business & leisure hotel, situated right in the centre of the England, is a great spot to hold conferences of all sizes and types. From groups of 2 to 260, the Kettering Hotel & Spa has excellent meeting room options, a super stylish spa, fabulous restaurant and super friendly staff. It really is an excellent place to consider for your next meeting.

Coach / bus pick-up location at hotel:

HOTEL The Kettering Park Hotel & Spa is sited on a business park, which also has a retail park next to it, so it's in a really good location, especially as its only approximately 30 minutes from the M1, M6 and the A1(M) - so access is excellent, due to its central location. In fact it’s only a two hour drive from 75% of the country.

The hotel lobby is pleasant and I was given a really warm welcome by the reception staff when I arrived. Located right next to reception was the lounge and the bar, with plenty of sofas, chairs and tables – which was busy and thriving, with a great atmosphere during my visit. This is usually a good indicator that a hotel is a fantastic place to meet and shows that they enjoy a great reputation locally.

Number of floors: Four

Number of bedrooms: 119

Bedrooms: The bedrooms in the property are constantly being updated and the rooms I viewed included a Signature room, a Premier suite and a standard double. I have to say that the refurbishment is excellent. Modern design with clean lines, very comfortable beds, useful work desks and large flat screen, wall mounted TVs with connectivity. Another impressive thing was the amount of space in each of the bedrooms - I'm also pleased to say that each room had a plug & USB socket on each side of the bed so you can easily charge your phone overnight – if only all hotels had this!!

** It is also worth pointing out that wherever possible the hotel will kindly upgrade conference delegates in a Signature room – subject to availability. This is a really nice touch.

Wi-fi: Yes, excellent wi-fi throughout – complimentary with a very simple sign-in page. Increased bandwidth can be organised for your conference upon request at no additional charge. A very nice touch from the hotel.

Fitness gym: Yes, there is an excellent gym at the hotel, which is free to use for hotel guests. Lots of cardio equipment as well as free weights and a workout studio. Another nice feature that Kettering Park offers is the option to book yourself onto any of the regular gym classes that are put on by the hotel each day. Love this!

Spa & Swimming Pool: The very swanky spa at the hotel has two treatment rooms and a vast array of health and well-being treatments available using natural ESPA and Jessica products. It looked amazing. There is also a decent sized swimming pool in the spa (13m long) and I found it fantastic for fitness swimming. Sometimes hotel pools are too small but definitely not this one. It was perfect! In addition to the pool there's a large whirlpool spa as well as a relaxing steam room and sauna. It is also worth pointing out that the spa was refurbished in May 2016 and it has a super high quality feel throughout. Recommended you visit! RESTAURANTS & BARS The 'Restaurant & Bar' at the Kettering Park Hotel & Spa is a really nice place to be. The bar is located on the ground floor right next to the reception desk and is a relaxing place, with a good mix of tables and easy chairs etc.

The one rosette restaurant is fantastic, specialising in serving British classics with a twist using local produce. It's got a really nice relaxed atmosphere, complete with a huge fireplace and roaring open fire. I enjoyed a fantastic dinner and breakfast during my stay and the food was out of this world, as well as very reasonably priced.

There are two rooms that adjoin the restaurant – Little Langberrys is a nice sized room which can serve as a semi-private part of the restaurant – ideal for your groups if they want to have some privacy but also keep the atmosphere of the restaurant. Great for semi-private group breakfasts too. Then there is Little Harrowdon which is classed as the hotel's private dining room, for which there is no room hire charge (subject to the availability of the room), and can be totally kept private from the main restaurant.

At the rear of the restaurant, there is an outside al fresco area which is great for drinks receptions, BBQs, etc. Beyond this is the wedding gazebo which is very busy during the warmer months. All of this area would be great for a drinks reception or BBQ for your events.

MEETING / CONFERENCE ROOMS In total there are 14 meeting rooms of various sizes split over the ground and first floors of the Kettering Park Hotel & Spa, catering from 2 - 260 delegates, so flexibility is the key here, especially as they also offer the opportunity to book the smaller boardrooms by the hour, subject to availability – which can be really useful for some clients. DDR rates are fantastic too – starting from £35.00, with 24 hour rates starting from £135.00

The biggest meeting space is the fab Rutland Suite on the ground floor, which can be used as one large room or split into two separate spaces. It is also worth pointing out that all meeting rooms offer natural daylight and there are lots of catering options here, with its fab conference café (complete with hot buffet, fresh coffee and healthy snacks on offer) or the hotel restaurant giving fantastic options for group lunches.

GROUND FLOOR MEETING ROOMS

Rutland Suite Located on the ground floor and with its own separate entrance to the main hotel lobby, this is the hotel’s largest room and offers lots of options. It comes with its own separate foyer in front of the suite, which is perfect for registration, coffee/lunch breaks and even a few exhibition stands.

The suite itself is large enough for 260 delegates in theatre style when fully opened or 100 in both when the sound proofed room dividers are inserted. It’s worth pointing out that the suite has a high ceiling with inbuilt projectors in both sides of the room. Loading in & out for AV companies is excellent with double doors opening directly onto a patio, on which vehicles can be driven right up to the door. In fact, if you are doing a vehicle showcase, you can even drive a car into the room through the large double doors too!

This suite is perfect for conferences in theatre style or cabaret, dinners, and pretty much most set ups you might ever need. Other things included are the options of star cloth, staging, built in projector, screen and PA system with mics – very impressive.
