This venue has fantastic access to Brighton Marina, Brighton Palace Pier, and all Brighton's attractions - all of which are a short stroll out of the venue’s doors! We loved that the modern, up to date stylings of this Malmaison didn’t mean that it had to be boring, the venue felt fresh and vibrant with plenty of character and playfulness to boot!
This venue is extremely well placed, with the peace of the seaside on your doorstep, yet the accessibility and location that might just be the best in the city! The Malmaison is also the closest hotel to the Amex Stadium and Gatwick Airport in terms of traveling time.
One thing that Malmaison Brighton is proud of is their commitment to sustainability in a genuinely impactful way. The hotel uses renewable electricity throughout, as well as having a 3% Energy & Water consumption reduction target every year which they continually hit. The hotel also has systematically moved away from all single use plastics and non-sustainable palm oil - a move adopted across the Malmaison chain.
But all of that fantastic sustainability comes at no cost to the customer experience - with all 73 bedrooms in this fantastic venue, being absolutely top-notch, with some of the coolest room designs we’ve seen in a in a while! The rooms all have plenty of personality, with large oversized beds and great facilities like flat screen TV’s. Malmaison described their bedrooms as everything you could ever expect, but with a Malmaison twist - we’re definitely on board and think they hit the nail on the head, the rooms were quirky, well designed, and most of all, comfortable!
There are 400 free complimentary car parking spaces which is a big bonus! The hotel is also an extremely short drive from Brighton Train Station, so a taxi would get you from train to check-in in no time, thanks to the designated coach and cab drop-off area outside the hotel.

They definitely don’t do half-measures at Malmaison when it comes to the food, catering and private dining spaces here. The Malmaison bar and grill - has so many brilliant offerings, but one that really stood out to us was their Mixologists who infuse ingredients with ease to create some really fun and exciting cocktails that you may have never tried before!
The food at the Malmaison Grill is a stylish fusion blend that combines some great seasonal fare with the contemporary dining experience. The menu focuses around prime British-fed beef, hand cut and matured for maximum flavour! We got to try this and wowzer - talk about some good hearty food, the offerings here are fantastic and absolutely provide that top notch experience expected when opting to dine privately.
Another aspect at Malmaison’s Grill that we loved was the private dining experiences available, particularly in The Cage, For something a little more intimate, enter the Cage. Positioned in the heart of the Chez Mal Brasserie, this is a semi-private dining room allowing you to have all the privacy of full private spaces, while being only-semi-partitioned meaning that the ambiance and bustle of the Brasserie leaks through into the space!
There’s so many possibilities when it comes to team building in Brighton, as you’ll no doubt see throughout our monthly spotlight on the destination, but adjacent to the Malmaison are many activities to enjoy - there's the VR Room, which is an innovative Virtual Racing space for maximum excitement, or Globalls, UV minigolf for some glow’n-up fun for your team to wind down with!
Brighton being such a forward thinking city also means that there’s plenty of local team-building focussed companies around the city, who the hotel have fostered great relationships with. Malmaison are able to provide quotes for groups and exclusive use of the hotel for these team building opportunities.
With ten different spaces that can all seamlessly co-operate and expand into each other to create larger meeting rooms, the Malmaison Brighton has a really advanced suite of corporate style meeting spaces that take eventing to the next level.
The Wi-Fi connection is easy to access and features fast upload and download speeds. One feature that we absolutely loved was the free, unlimited teas, coffees and soft drinks across all of the meeting rooms! Don’t mind if we do! There are also multiple areas available for registration, depending on the size and requirements of the event, the Malmaison once again showing off its capability for flexibility.

The PDR (Private dining room) is a totally private suite specially designed for high end private dining. There’s some beautiful light fixtures and subtle floristry around the room that really add a high-end touch to any private dining experience. While we’re at it, we’ve also got to mention The Library, a brilliant quirky private dining space for 16 people that stands out next to the PDR as a more casual, yet funky place to have some great grub!
