ME London

Packed with personality and functionality, this wonderful hotel in the building that housed the BBC’s first ever offices, ME London offers an gloriously luxury take on events and meetings across its impressive, functional, spaces. Everything about ME London makes it one of the freshest hotel-experiences in London. The artwork, the gorgeous ME scent, the cool music, everything feels very super stylish.

As you enter the hotel, the Marconi Lounge is decorated with beautiful artwork in rotating exhibits. When we arrived it was STELLAR by Tom Payne, a beautiful colourful work that really told us instantly that this was going to be more than your average hotel. The lounge itself is a super cool area with lots of places to chill, and a bar greeting you. You can also see into the base of the central pyramid that runs right through the hotel.

Inside is an atrium that feels straight out of the future, minimalistic with beams of natural light flowing through, this is a must-see space for anyone interested in architecture or interior design and is guaranteed to wow clients - it definitely wowed us!

The amazing details were really what took ME London up a notch in its incredible service. On arrival you’re offered a glass of bubbly or a glass of water by some of the incredible staff here. We’re lucky enough to witness so many fantastic welcomes at hotels and Venues all around the country, but the ME London staff pulled it out of the bag with this one, amazing, helpful and very friendly. No question of ours went unanswered throughout our visit.

If you’ve never visited ME London and went to get a feel for how their events spaces look and feel, they provide a really cool 3D tour of their facilities. In the link below: https://melia.visualizer360.com/me-london

- we were so impressed by their integration of technology into the way they present the ME London experience, all the way from booking to check out. As a high end, luxury hotel, these are the fantastic little details mentioned before that push this fantastic venue into the upper echelon of fresh new events spaces.

There was also some extremely useful direct street-level access for vehicles, a commodity in the hustle bustle of the capital. Our room (one of 157 in the hotel) was comfortable, luxurious and oozed class. Beyond this, the space was functional, with great WIFI and TV options, it felt like somewhere just as valuable to relax and decompress in, as it might be to burn the midnight oil before a big meeting!

Okay, we must start with the Radio Rooftop. This is seriously one of the funkiest spaces we’ve seen in the industry recently, serving sharing plates. The rooftop bar has some of the most unbelievable views of London, we couldn’t stop taking photos of the amazing 360-degree landscape!! With the hotel being on the end of the strand, this means it’s also close to the River Thames which just adds to the city centre atmosphere, you feel as though you’re at the crux of all that’s going on in the world up here, as a fantastic eye of the storm evening of relaxation and good vibes takes over!

Radio rooftop serves Brunch, lunch and Dinner, with some fantastic mediterranean bites in the evening, tailored freshly by the in-house catering partner Upmarket Leisure and accompanied by a wonderful DJ setting that sunset vibe.

Another of the fantastic facilities in ME London is the STK Steakhouse. This was a jaw dropping restaurant on the hotel’s ground floor which provides a new take on the steakhouse with a high energy atmosphere and a lounge feel that really gets you in the mood for some fantastic food. And let us tell you, the food was stunning, Steak to die for here, definitely not to be missed, whether on a personal business trip or group away day - there's an option at this fantastic steakhouse to meet your requirements. The STK restaurant offers a beautiful private dining room for up to 30 people or can be used for groups as a supplement.

Finally, on ME London’s wonderful catering side, we have Luciano by Gino D’Acampo, which is also a part of the Upmarket Leisure catering team. This place was a fantastic place to go for a bite, and provided a really interesting variation to STK, focussing on an authentic Italian feel, and putting particular emphasis on ingredient sourcing, finding the finest quality ingredients for some of the finest food in the West End!

Now ME London is a very classy, luxury venue, but sometimes you have to be cute too… and the pups service offered here provides just that! The Me London team provides an amazing service for dogs so that they don’t feel left out or need to be left at home. All the wonderful staff will provide walks, activities and fun all day long for our favourite pawsome friends (sorry couldn’t resist!!)

You know we love wellness at The Delegate Wranglers, and the gym here provided a fantastic option for a morning workout. There was a great mix of machines and free weights… and don’t forget the location, if you fancy a jog, we can’t think of a much more scenic place to leave from!

Something a little different for our meeting space highlight, we want to go into detail on the capabilities of the ME Rooms and Studios - a space which is truly unlike any others that we’ve visited. All the 6 individual ME Studios are smaller breakout meeting spaces and have a capacity for 20 people. – technically 7 individual rooms (me room + 6x studios) with endless capacity options.

These ME Studio rooms can open up between each other and can be used in any combination of ways with sliding walls that allow you to create a 60-person boardroom style area for huge team meetings. Alternatively, you can open two rooms together, and have one provide as a drink’s reception. The possibilities here are endless.

It’s important to note that these rooms absolutely continue the luxury stylings that the rest of the hotel is covered in. There’s a hyper-elegant high-end professional look about these rooms with everything in these spaces from the projectors to the lighting, to the finish on the walls, feels top notch!

All the ME Studios open up onto the ME Room, the biggest of ME London’s event spaces which holds 150 in cabaret seating, across 5000 sq. ft. This space really impressed us with its AV and production capabilities which really scaled up for events. With the nature of the room, nice high ceilings and a smart, elegant, minimalist decor, events feel big in this space, and the top tier production really helps elevate an entire room of delegates, we certainly got the impression that this space for bigger functions would leave no guest un-engaged, whether for a dinner, a talk or reception!

Summary
Overall ME’s plethora of versatile spaces, which can configure from 10-300 guests really blew us away, there’s an emphasis on quality here and that really shines through everything that Me London do, from the furnishings to the friendly staff, this was a high-end venue that we won’t forget about anytime soon.
