The great thing about a football stadium is that you get to see the venue from quite a distance away, adding to the wow factor. The same goes for Middlesbrough FC, which dominates the skyline as you approach it.

Parking is really easy here as there are approximate 1,000 spaces in and around the stadium – all free when you are attending a conference, which is great. Depending on which conference space you are using, you enter via the lovely and impressive main entrance or the private entrances for with the Legends or Middlehaven Suites, both of which have their own entrance – which is a great option to add a touch of exclusivity for your meeting.

Once on the 2nd floor, where all the conference spaces are located, you can see why this great venue is so flexible. Not only does it have the wow factor of pitch views throughout, but there’s also lots of meeting spaces and opportunities to run different types of events – so that could be a medium/large conference for a couple of hundred people with an exhibition, right through to an awards night or training meeting. This is one of the main selling points of the venue

Parking: Over 1,000 parking spaces – all free
Coach / Bus Pick-up Location at hotel: Yes, can pull up directly outside the various entrances into the stadium. There are specified places for the coach to wait for pick-up afterwards
Number of bedrooms: Although the stadium doesn’t have its own hotel onsite, they work with several local hotels, all of which are only 5-10 minutes away, thus providing all the accommodation you might need for your event. Delegates can then be brought in by coach – something they do regularly and effectively.
Business centre: Although there isn’t a specific business centre, any photocopying / printing can be done at the main reception desk
Wi-fi: Yes, totally free and worked really well throughout the venue
Fitness gym: n/a
Spa & Swimming Pool: n/a

RESTAURANTS & BARS
The stadium has bars built into every function space – these can be way for a formal conference or used for your dinner and reception type events. The bar in the Middlehaven Suite has a really contemporary feel and was favourite of all the bars in the venue.

In terms of food, this is something that Middlesbrough do amazing well. They are used to catering for large numbers of super high-quality food on match day, so to bring this to your conference is no problem at all.

The options for your lunches and dinner are endless too – ranging from a hot & cold buffet, right through to bowl food or a formal 3 course sit down dinner, they’ve got the lot!

MEETING / CONFERENCE ROOMS
All meeting spaces are on the 2nd floor and all have natural daylight, looking onto either the pitch side boxes (all of which have glass walls, so you get pitch views) or to the outside of the stadium with views over the River Tees (is that correct Nichola?).

The space really lends itself to a conference and exhibition as the boxes can be used for stands and breakout rooms, giving lots of flexible options.

Meeting Space Highlight: The Legends Lounge
The room is the venues largest meeting space – it can hold conferences for up to 220 pax with fantastic views over the pitch, giving it that wow facto. Built in AV and its own private entrance complete a really good offer
