Thistle Marble Arch is located in front of Hyde Park, Mayfair and on Oxford Street - the beating heart of London. This is a venue that doesn’t just rest on the laurels of being stunningly situated. Instead, Thistle has gone above and beyond, by creating a super stylish, highly functional venue for your next event!

The hotel, which repurposes a beautiful pre-war modernist building into a 700 bedroom extravaganza of style and effectiveness, sits comfortably off Hyde park, next to some of the cities most exciting destinations, beautiful surroundings (both architecturally and naturally) and a plethora of underground stations for you to take your pick from!

Thistle Marble Arch feels separate however, from the day to day hyperactivity of the city's central hubs, thanks to small touches, like the entrance being situated just off the main road, so it’s much more quiet and discreet. None of this takes away from the fact that the venue is located next to Marble Arch, on Oxford street, one of the most iconic locations in the world, that would wow any event attendee.

The Stunning location, exterior and style of this hotel have a rival however, for it’s most impressive feature, and that’s the event capabilities. There’s thirteen meeting rooms, all on the first floor and Thistle has spaces that can provide for your biggest ever event at 400 guests, or your most focussed boardroom meeting at 10! This is a true all rounder of a venue that we’re excited to tell you more about!

First things first, the rooms that your attendees will be staying in are fantastic. The rooms in this building are uniquely spacious, as the building, built in the 1930’s was originally flats! Therefore, there’s more than average space in these lovely bedrooms that have a really cool design philosophy. They’re modern, with great amenities like USB ports and Nespresso coffee machines, and full of nice touches like a daily restocking minibar!

The staff here are fantastic and the transition into the hotel was seamless, with the concierge desk on the ground floor, and check in on the first floor, all the way to our fantastic room. Every step of the way we felt catered for by the lovely friendly team, who also really knew their stuff when we quizzed them about the events capabilities here!

From the lovely lobby, there’s access to the Deli that serves coffee, snacks and sandwiches. This is one of the most relaxing spots in the hotel, and provides an uber comfortable place to get a bit of leftover work done, or have a quick catchup with another delegate. The hotel features lift access to all floors for the bedrooms and easy access to the meeting rooms which are on the same floor as the lobby!

As previously mentioned, this hotel is an all-rounder, so if you thought the incredible moments ended with the bigger bedrooms or the cool reception area, you’d be mistaken! The food and drink service at Thistle is fantastic.

“The Bar” overlooks Oxford Road and has a super comfy feel. Just off the reception, this provides the perfect day for guests to wind down after a day of exploring the city or being busy in a meeting! Choose from the list of speciality cocktails on offer here, or even peruse the wine list which we thought was curated with more care than you’d normally expect.

We also loved the bars’ brilliant plethora of alcohol free options for dry events, the team here had a whole new menu, in partnership with Fever-Tree, full of mocktails, simple serves, and 0% beers!

Food wise, the catering is no slouch! There’s a real elegant style of the restaurant, some dark oak furnishings and golden hued lights give the place a classy feel. The space comes to light at night as their focus on Italian dishes, with local produce gives the dining, private or in the Grill’s restaurant, a unique flair.

Somehow, there’s also a gym to be found in this fantastic, sprawling hotel, on the second floor you’ll find thistle’s well stocked gym full of top of the range Precor equipment for your guests to use at their leisure!

Across the thirteen meeting spaces, the team here have planned for your every eventuality. The best use of these rooms is by using a larger space with breakout rooms. All 9 of the smaller spaces here have views of Oxford street and tonnes of natural light, so moving into the breakout room doesn’t feel like taking the meeting into a cupboard!

Thistle also has an Onsite Technology Team which means you never have to fuss about as an event organiser with the hyper-technicals, and can sit back in the knowledge that the team of experts here will have your back, whatever the query. The wifi is also included in the full price of the room and was, from experience, super fast!

Meeting Space Highlight: Hyde Park
Fully equipped with built-in screens, dimmable lights and a hearing loop. This grand space is fantastic for the likes of product launches or smaller exhibitions in a room with plenty of break out areas! The lighting features add a touch of class and regality to this space and are adjustable to the level of ambiance you’re going for here! This space is bigger than it looks on pictures and we really think there’s so much that can be done with this divisible, open and airy room!

Meeting Space Highlight: Park Lane
Park Lane is the Ballroom here at Thistle Marble Arch and is a spacious and naturally lit room with a super-functional built-in stage. The room features some really spacious high ceilings and the team told us this really suits it to some fantastic exhibitions. The adjacent Albert room makes a fantastic breakout space, yet again featuring stunning views of Oxford Street.

Meeting Space Highlight : Speaker’s Corner
Of today’s three highlights, we especially loved the speaker’s corner room. This room oozes class and is perfect for Senior board meetings with its gorgeous tables, leather chesterfield style chairs and not to mention the stunning views of Hyde Park, on a pretty day this room is one of the most brilliant meeting spaces in London!

Summary
Overall this is a fantastic hotel that has basically everything to offer. Despite the lack of outdoor space, this venue’s location means that there’s team building opportunities in the best shopping districts of London and Mayfair. A stone's throw from Buckingham Palace, the theatre district, covent garden and so much more, this is a stunning venue with everything available to suit whatever your eventing needs may be. This venue is an exciting place to be with exciting places to see all around it!
