Over a century old, the Victory Services Club provides stunning accommodation, dining, and event facilities to serving and retired members of the British Armed Forces and their families. We were really wowed by the fresh, sleek stylings of this venue, with event spaces (available to book for non-members) boasting some seriously impressive facilities for your next event.
Through the past decade, the Victory Services Club has undergone a series of large scale renovations which have seen it become not just a testament to the space’s incredible history, but a fantastic, up-to-date venue with some forward thinking ideas to facilitate the original vision of the club’s founder: to unite and support members and veterans of the Armed Forces. This is even further corroborated by the club’s not-for-profit status, meaning that money spent at the VSC benefits the charities it supports.
The accommodation at Victory Services Club is impressive, with 202 bedrooms over eight floors, the club offers fantastic rates for members and conference attendees alike. There’s a really positive and uplifting vibe that’s present throughout this entire venue, all the staff, members and visitors share the common mission of mutual support and care, and we absolutely loved this. Victory Services embraces its incredible story (one that includes life members such as Winston Churchill and Clement Atlee) while looking ahead and proving itself to be one of the most impressive venues in central London… Did we mention it’s literally a five-minute walk from Marble Arch Station?
The historic exterior of Victory Services Club is absolutely undeniable. A gorgeous, tall, near overwhelming ornate brick building houses this stunning venue, with an unforgettable entrance to boot. Beautiful pillars and an ornate brickwork sign give you an instant sense of this building’s character and history. Definitely an instant wow for event attendees.
Once inside the venue, we found the staff here to be exceptional, and very respectful of all members' needs, and deeply knowledgeable about the venue and any questions. As we mentioned before, the team here have a clear reverence for the job that they do and take extra care providing for the needs of service members and event attendees alike.
Speaking of the care taken, we found this to be an exceptionally accessible venue with all events spaces situated between the ground and first floors, and a newly fitted lift that can take you directly to the Victory Services Club’s most impressive meeting spaces. The ‘Help for Heroes’ foundation supported the club’s effort to make this venue accessible for all visitors, efforts that included remodelling The Carisbroke hall entrance, street level entrance ramps and nine accessible rooms.
The Accessible bedrooms are fully equipped with en-suite facilities, a wet room, and profiling framed beds which enable the user to be raised and lowered vertically. At The Delegate Wranglers, we feel there should never be a barrier to accessing events of any kind, and we loved the amazing work that the Victory Services Club have done to make this possible!
All of the rooms at the Victory Services Club are really smartly decorated, with a neat, modern style that makes for comfortable and spacious rooms thanks to the design of this beautiful old building. Not just this, but the club provides competitive rates for members and makes for one of the most impressively affordable places to stay, given its stunningly central location. We’re not sure you can beat Hyde Park, which is directly outside the club, as a green space for team building.
While we’re on the subject of green, VSC are no slouches when it comes to sustainability. With Greengage EcoSmart Gold accreditation, the club goes above and beyond when it comes to sustainably sourcing the produce on their menus (we’re itching to talk about the food here!) or fantastic recycling methods. In the highly polluted, congested capital, Hyde Park is smiling back at them!

Distance from nearest airport: The Heathrow Express runs every 15 minutes to Paddington station and takes just 15 minutes. From Paddington, you can either get a taxi to the VSC, which will take 5-10 minutes. The Gatwick Express runs every 15 minutes to Victoria Station and takes just 30 minutes to walk.

The food options at the club are unbelievable in fact the venue won best customer service for London venue awards and best food 2023.
Let’s start at The Grill. This space combines fine dining with hearty British classics, meaning you’ll leave stuffed (we did) but with some seriously high-end grub. The webpage for The Grill comes with the headline “The best thing about Victory Services Club was the food!”, some claim given the incredible standard the rest of this venue reaches, but we’re inclined to agree, this is some mind-boggling munch. Not to be ignored either is the atmosphere of The Grill, a key aspect when you’re thinking about Private Hire for your next event. This is a beautifully decorated, gorgeously lit room by elegant feature lighting like rows of exposed bulbs, that give this space character, without feeling overbearing or stuffy!
Not to be missed are the two other catering facilities, The Coffee Bar and The Lounge Bar.
The coffee bar has that perfect vibe for daytime 1-1 informal meetings or casual networking sessions. Offering freshly brewed coffee, teas, and some off-the-scale pastries that you can even take to go and explore the amazing area, or even embark on a walking meeting.
Later in the day, The Lounge Bar provides an ideal setting for a drink - available if you book a bedroom - with its sophisticated ambiance, an extensive menu of fantastic drinks, we also found this to be one of the cheapest pints in London, The Club’s own “Victory Ale” is only three pounds a pint! This is the perfect space to solidify connections and unwind after an exhaustive day of eventing! In fact, the bar prices are great as it’s the same prices for events as it is in the bar for everyone - we loved this!!
When it comes to the facilities of the Victory Services Club, there’s a definite sense of luxury about the place, in keeping with the regal feel of the local area. Event spaces are dressed to impress, there’s a funky stylishness to the eateries here, and the staff provide service to the highest degree. Not a corner is cut, or spot is missed, this venue competes with the best in London when it comes to quality and service for your event.

Meeting Space Highlight: Carisbrooke Hall
This is a truly breathtaking space; a classical grandeur coats the walls and ceiling of this stunning meeting space. To call it just a meeting space, however, might be an understatement. A hugely versatile setup including purpose built panoramic screens and fantastic-up-to-date AV systems means that this room can be a stunner for your next dinner or awards night. A stage allows for presentations, as well as plenty of space for a full panel - for a talk. Another notable feature is the balcony which overlooks the space providing even more versatility. This was a magnificent space that we really loved!

The simple and minimalistic design of this meeting room makes you feel far away from the outside world, and ready to focus on a busy day of work! This room felt new and fresh thanks to the recent refurbishment of the space, which really has done an incredible number on this smaller room, allowing for maximum possibilities.

Summary
Victory Services Club blew us away – fantastic location, historic venue, excellent staff, superb meeting spaces – we loved the super flexible Carisbrooke Hall. When you’re looking for something that little bit different – this not-for-profit venue is definitely an option for you to consider.
