As you enter through the grand gates into the grounds of Westminster College in central Cambridge you can't be anything except blown away by this historic building. It would seriously impress your clients from the UK or further afield. Home to the study of theology, it also serves as a working conference venue all the year round (both during term time and holidays).

It's 38 bedrooms can also help to accommodate your groups and what a glorious experience to spend some time in a historic building like this.

Once inside the main building, you’re met by a corridor which is the perfect location for your registration desk, depending on which part of the building you are in and what's going on. From here you have got really easy access to quite a number of Westminster College's meeting rooms, as well as some of it's other historic aspects, such as the gorgeous chapel and it's fantastic, atmospheric (120 covers for a formal dinner) Dining Hall - looking like something straight out of Harry Potter! Amazing!

On top of the glorious main Westminster College building, another part of the campus is the brand new Woolf Institute building which was opened recently (April 2018) by The Princess Royal. This is home to some super modern meeting spaces including the glorious Weston Room with stunning views over Cambridge - certainly one of the nicest boardrooms I've been in for a long time.

Splitting the two building is it's freshly renovated gardens, which is also home to the Labyrinth Garden, which can be used for drinks receptions. It really is a gorgeous outside space.

Parking: Although there is no parking at Westminster College itself, the city’s various public transport and park & ride options are the best way to get to this venue.
Coach / Bus Pick-up Location: Yes, this would be on Pound Hill at the rear of the building.
Number of bedrooms: 38

The bedrooms are all located in the main Westminster College building. There are 4 double rooms, 11 suites with kitchenettes and 23 single rooms - all rooms are en-suite and very comfortable. Although the bedrooms don’t contain a TV, this actually adds to the charm of the rooms, as you enjoy the surroundings and actually relax whilst you're here. It definitely worked for me.

Westminster College are keen to stress that the bedrooms are very much available even during term time, as these are not rooms that are used by students. They are very reasonably priced too and when you stay you get to take breakfast in that Dining Room!

Number of floors: Three in the main Westminster College building and four in the Woolf Institute building
Business centre: No a specialist business centre but any printing and photocopying can be done by the friendly staff on reception
Wi-fi: Yes with a passcode - worked really well during my visit in all areas of the venue and outside.
Fitness gym, swimming pool & spa: No, this is just a conference venue

RESTAURANTS & BARS
The fantastic Dining Hall in Westminster College is a wonderful place to hold a dinner. Catering for groups up to 120, the room is steeped in character – to say it looks like something straight out of Hogwarts is an understatement. We are talking character by the bucket load! A real wow factor location to impress your clients – particularly any from outside the UK who, in my opinion, would really enjoy having dinner in there, as it's so glorious. Although there aren’t any bars in the building there are various pubs and restaurants within a few minutes walking distance. The nearest of which are less than 2 minutes from the building.

MEETING / CONFERENCE ROOMS
The venue is split into two separate locations for it's 11 meeting rooms - Westminster College which houses some beautiful and historic meeting rooms and the brand new Woolf Institute with its cutting edge meeting rooms, including the most glorious boardroom you've ever seen.

Westminster College is home to: Lewis Room, Senatus Room, Gibson Room, Healey Room, Assembly Room & Cheshunt Room

The Woolf Institute is home to: Wienrebe Room, Grange Room, Shasha Conference Suite, Karten Room & Weston Room

It is worth pointing out that the Woolf Institute also houses it's own studio & editing suite, where you can film interviews / record audio interviews and then edit them next door in it's editing suite. What an amazing facility.

When holding a conference in either building, you would usually take lunch in the impressive Dining Room in Westminster College. It can hold 80 people for lunch with a buffet service.

Meeting Space Highlight: The Assembly Room

This room was probably my favourite room in Westminster College – Steeped in history and with bookcase all around, you can't help but get swept along with the history of the room. It oozes class. It would be perfect for boardroom meetings and private dinners.
