Yorebridge House

I want to start this summary by saying that I seriously can’t wait to go back! Yorebridge House is a fantastic property with bags of character, which has been emphasised in such a stylish manner – I absolutely loved it. The bedrooms are unbelievably good – every single one is different and every single one is fantastic! On top of this, you’ve got an amazing three rosette restaurant, lovely meeting spaces (especially the Tasting Room!) and super friendly staff led by the wonderful Sophie Egglestone. Definitely get this on your shortlist for incentive groups or company away days – your clients will love it!

This gorgeous Victorian Grade II listed former Headmaster's house and school is situated in the glorious Yorkshire Dales and it's an amazing place. Renovated from scratch by owners Charlotte & Dave Reilly in 2008, this multiple award winning 5 star property has bags of style, three lovely (and all different) meeting spaces and a 3 AA rosette menu. And then there's the 12 individually designed bedrooms and fabulous outdoor spaces - wow!

Located in the middle of the beautiful Yorkshire Dales National Park, Yorebridge House is flanked by two rivers - the Ure and the Bain - both providing a lovely gentle soundtrack if you go for a stroll around the hotel's five acres of land.

As you enter the drive to the hotel, you are immediately struck by just how lovely Yorebridge House is - dating back to Victorian times, the building is comprised of a former school building and the Headmasters House. just a few paces away. There's also lots of nice patio space and a lawn directly surrounding the house - ideal for receptions, BBQ's, wedding parties etc

Once inside the main building (the headmaster's house) you are greeted by a small but really nice reception area - very welcoming and not a high counter in sight! Love it! The contemporary styling and beautiful fittings inside totally compliment the striking exterior of the building - my favourite combination.

Through reception you are greeted by the Master’s Room, the bar and the restaurant, which is situated in the Orangery at the rear of the building and down one floor in the cellar is the magical Laurent Perrier Grand Siècle Tasting Room – more of that later! Also located in the main building are 7 bedrooms, spread across the ground, first and second floor.

Just a few paces through a door at the side of the building you enter the old school building which backs onto the lovely River Ure - this houses 4 bedrooms and like the others in the main building, each one is individually styled - and they're amazing!

It is worth pointing out that you can also hire out Yorebridge House exclusively for your event. With exclusive use of the house, bedrooms and 4 acres of stunning grounds, your own personal event coordinator will work with groups to create their own bespoke experience. This would be fantastic!

Parking: Yes, plenty of free parking here
Coach / Bus Pick-up Location at hotel: Yes, on the drive up to the hotel or in the main car park. There is plenty of space
Number of bedrooms: 12

Bedrooms: Spread across the two buildings, the 12 bedrooms are very special. Each one is individually styled by, owner and former interior designer, Charlotte Reilly and is based on her experiences of places that she and Dave have either visited or would like to go to. And believe me, Charlotte has done a fantastic job! There are lots of really nice wow factors about each room. For example, some have their own hot tub, others have a double shower, feature bath, etc.

On my show around by the fab GM, Sophie Egglestone, I saw a number of bedrooms in the property including the fabulous Greenwich Loft Suite, based on a New York loft apartment, which was absolutely gorgeous. I wanted to move in!

My room (The Carabeo) was based on a specific street in Spain was in the roof space of the school house, with lovely river views and a fabulous feature bath. All bedrooms get Sky TV, homemade cookies, music docking station, Moulton Brown toiletries and Nespresso coffee machines. To say the bedrooms here are luxurious is an understatement – I loved them all!

Number of floors: 3 in the Headmaster's House and 2 in the school house
Business centre: No but just ask at reception for any printing / photocopying
Wi-fi: Yes, free and excellent service. Easy sign up too.
Fitness gym, spa & swimming pool: No but some bedrooms have their own hot tub

RESTAURANTS & BARS
The bar and restaurant are both located on the ground floor just past reception and are really nice and welcoming. The bar is really stylish and has plenty of sofas & tables to grab some lunch or do some work. It would be a really nice place to have a one to one meeting with someone in a totally relaxed environment.

The Orangery is a modern addition to the property and is home to the three rosette restaurant. It has masses of natural light with two large skylight windows in the ceiling, as well as large windows on two sides and French doors leading out to patio as well. It’s a really lovely space.

I had dinner there (and breakfast the following morning) and it was a fantastic experience. It was a seriously top drawer fine dining experience comprising of an amazing three course meal, gorgeous canapes and a knockout amuse-bouche. One word: Stunning! Go eat there!

MEETING / CONFERENCE ROOMS
There are three meeting spaces in the hotel - all offering something slightly different but all are excellent, and I'd love to use them!! They are all perfect for various types of meeting – so that could be an executive board meeting, a small conference or even a dinner dance.

Tipis and a marquee on the lawn can also be arranged should your client require them for breakout sessions, activities etc

The Tasting Room
Wow – what a surprise this room was! Located in the cellar down the original steps (loved them!), you suddenly enter the Laurent Perrier Grand Siècle Tasting Room. Imagine a gorgeous high table & stools surrounded by all manner of wines and it even included a small built in screen for presentations or branding. This is a knockout room! Perfect for hosting a drinks reception, or an incentive group. If you get the chance to visit Yorebridge House for a site inspection, definitely go straight to this gorgeous room!
