We are hiring!

Want to drive real results in the UK’s business events sector?

We’re looking for a part-time (around 2–2.5 days per week) sales person who thrives on targets, data and delivery - and who wants to help shape the commercial success of a sector they love.

Join us at the Meetings Industry Association - the UK’s largest and longest-standing body for the business meetings and events sector, and help the industry grow, connect and thrive.

This is a high-impact role for someone who loves the energy of the events world but is motivated by measurable results. You’ll take ownership of new membership and sponsorship sales, managing a structured pipeline, nurturing prospects and closing deals that help venues, agencies and suppliers see the real value of being part of the MIA community.

You’ll know your conversion rates.
You’ll forecast accurately.
And you’ll get a buzz from hitting and exceeding your targets.

The more you grow our network, the stronger the industry becomes… and the more you earn.

You’ll work closely with our Chief Executive, marketing and membership teams to drive income growth, refine our sales strategy, and ensure every lead is followed through to measurable success. You’ll also attend key events when it helps you build meaningful connections that convert.

The role:

Part-time (around 2–2.5 days per week)
Hybrid role (home + Market Harborough + UK events)
£50–£55k pro rata + performance bonus

You’ll bring:

🔹 3–5 years’ sales or business development experience (ideally in events, hospitality or membership)
🔹 A proven record of smashing commercial targets
🔹 A data-driven mindset & CRM confidence
🔹 Energy, focus and a genuine love for the UK events industry

We’re a small but mighty team, passionate about credibility, collaboration and community and we’re looking for someone who shares that spirit and loves delivering results.

Sound like you? Apply and let us know how you can help power the MIA’s next stage of growth.
