Imago venues have announced a major refurbishment of Burleigh Court which will see the addition of new conference and gala space, as well as a brand new 140 cover restaurant.

The refurbishment will include a new Welcome Lounge, complete with self-service check-in pods where guests can take the hassle out of arrival - the impressive check-in island will house a jet engine developed by Loughborough University engineers to show off their proud connection to the university and includes lots of great features:

Carney & Scott's
In honour of Lioness legends - and Loughborough alumni - Jill Scott and Karen Carney, this stylish new bar area will be the perfect place to unwind after a hard day's work. It will service the venue's brand new conference and gala space with lunch service, as well as being a fabulous place to kick back and relax in the evenings.

Fifty The Street

This brand new 140-cover restaurant will be situated in one half of the current courtyard space and will "spill out" into a lovely indoor/outdoor experience. The reason behind the name "Fifty The Street"? It will be located at the top of the corridor call 'the street' and will serve a 50% plant-based menu in line with Burleigh Court's sustainability goals.

New conference space
This space replaces the venue's previous restaurant and has been completely refurbished into a brand new 200 capacity cabaret space. Perfect for large plenaries, conference sessions or gala dinners, it will have multiple screens throughout the room ensuring delegates are always engaged and connected.

There's also a Business Lounge - which is a new shared working space for more informal team huddles or one-on-one time, The Snug - a brand new intimate space that's perfect for small breakout groups or workshops

There's also the brilliantly titled Thingumajig room - yet another brand new meeting space, set up as boardroom, perfect for small meetings, strategy sessions etc. It's fondly named after a valuable optical measuring device from the 1920s (on display in the room) impatiently named by a Loughborough Professor who, when asked by a young student about the name of the device, gave the sharp response "I don't know, call it the thingumajig and don't disturb me again". The optical square adopted this nickname with students ever since who dared not question it!
