Departure of Mark Taylor as Chief Executive of the Queen Elizabeth II Centre

After 12 years as the Chief Executive of the Queen Elizabeth II (QEII) Centre in Westminster, London, Mark Taylor has announced that he will be stepping down as CEO to focus on family commitments.

Since joining the Centre in 2013, Taylor has overseen a refurbishment programme that has modernised the venue with annual revenues having increased from £9.6m in 2013/14 to £17.6m in 2023/24.

Reflecting on his time at the QEII Centre, Taylor said:

“Serving as CEO has been a fantastic and rewarding journey. I am immensely proud to have worked alongside such a talented team of professional staff and partners, and the wider events community in London and beyond. I wish them, and the Centre, continued success in the years ahead.”

The Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government would like to thank Mark for his tenure.

Arrangements for the appointment of a new Chief Executive will be announced shortly.
