The Switzerland Convention & Incentive Bureau (SCIB) offers exclusive buyouts for 2021 that will not only protect clients’ wellbeing with complete exclusivity, but also their wallets. Properties range from remote mountain-hut-style hotels to city-centre pearls, traditional and simple to modern and state of the art. All of the constantly updated options can be found on SCIB’s website.
What is it like to sleep in a historic Alpine hotel on top of a mountain pass? Overlooking turquoise dams and rocky grey and green landscapes? With the exclusive buy-out offer by SCIB, event planners can find out and rent out the entire Grimsel Hospiz in Guttannen in the Bernese Oberland with its 28 charming rooms for a flat rate of CHF 11’800 per night, approx. GBP 10’000. Included in the price are not only all of the hotel rooms, but also complete exclusivity and thus the peace of mind that attendees are as safe as they can be. The Grimsel Hospiz is perfect for retreat-style and strategic meetings and small, remote incentives.
The complete exclusivity and therefore safety of guests is one thing all of the listed properties on mySwitzerland.com/meetings have in common. But apart from that, they are as different as a Gruyère and an Emmental cheese. If attendees require a little more village character and a little less of complete seclusion, then one of the two participating properties in Andermatt in Central Switzerland could be an option. The Radisson Blu Hotel Reussen, opened in 2018, is on offer for CHF 70’000, approx. GBP 60’000 for two nights for its 179 rooms. Right next to the Radisson Blu Hotel Reussen lies the spectacular concert hall for up to 300 pax, a perfect location for a small conference, meeting or event incentive, with its access to one of the biggest ski areas in Switzerland and a large golf course in the valley. The second participating property in Andermatt is the 5*S property The Chedi, an “Alpine-Asian fusion”-style hotel with 123 rooms, with a buyout price starting from CHF 100’000 per night, approx. GBP 85’000.
Is transfer time an issue? Not a problem, many properties in Swiss cities such as Geneva, Lausanne, Montreux, Bern, Lucerne, Zurich and Basel also participate in the Rent-a-Hotel offer by SCIB.
In Bern, the Swiss capital with its UNESCO World Heritage old town, the two 5* properties are both part of the offer. The Bellevue Palace, the official guest house of the Swiss government, offers its 110 rooms starting from CHF 40’000 a night, approx. GBP 35’000. The property has a beautiful ballroom for up to 220 pax and is therefore ideal for small conferences.
The Hotel Schweizerhof Bern & Spa offers its 97 rooms in single occupancy for CHF 35’000 per night, approx. GBP 30’000. In Lausanne in the Lake Geneva Region, overlooking the lake and the French Alps, one of the available properties is the charming Château d’Ouchy, right by the lake, which offers its 50 rooms starting from CHF 20’000 per night, approx. GBP 17’000.
These and many more properties can be explored on mySwitzerland.com/meetings.
