Hospitality Action Summer Cycle Challenge returns as charity announces spring/summer events calendar

Hospitality Action, the UK’s leading charity for the hospitality industry, has announced its fundraising events calendar for Spring/Summer 2026, including the return of its ever-popular Summer Cycle Challenge.

The charity’s schedule of activities will bring together industry professionals from across the sector, inviting them to take part in a range of exciting activities that will see people saddle up, tee off or be part of a peloton, all to help raise vital funds to support their peers and promote wellbeing initiatives.

The key events taking place throughout Spring/Summer 2026 include:

  • AA Charity Golf Day (Monday 11 May) – Join The AA and Hospitality Action for an unforgettable Charity Golf Day and three-course dinner at The Manor House Golf Club. Teams of four will tackle the 18-hole championship course to see who will be crowned masters of the fairway, all while helping to raise vital funds.
  • South West Polo Day (Sunday 7 June) In Association with Four Seasons Fruiterers, six chefs, led by Michelin-starred Hywel Jones will craft a stunning four-course lunch paired with wonderful wines at the premier historic Beaufort Polo Club. Attendees will also enjoy a Taittinger and canape reception, an exciting polo demonstration alongside a thrilling live match.
  • Summer Cycle Challenge (Monday 22 June) – Join industry peers who will take on one of three stunning cycle routes through the breathtaking Hampshire Countryside (40, 70 or 100 miles). Participants can look forward to premium pit stops offering five-star sustenance, with the event kindly sponsored by Agilysys.

Riders can cap off the day in style with a spectacular finish-line feast and a glass of chilled Taittinger in the beautiful grounds of Lainston House.

“Last year’s Summer Cycle Challenge was a brilliant day out that combined personal challenge with team bonding. The hospitality was exceptional, with first-class food and a well-earned glass of champagne at the finish line!! We’re all really looking forward to taking part again this year, especially since it’s in support of such a great charity.”

Gareth Banner, Group Managing Director, The Ned and Hospitality Action Ambassador

For those unable to attend one of the Spring Events, Hospitality Action invites businesses to adopt the charity as their Charity of the Year, with a focus on long-term partnerships to create a sustained impact.

Mark Lewis, Chief Executive of Hospitality Action, said: “Our events are an opportunity to remind us all what makes hospitality so special and reflect on the incredible work our industry does in support of each other. It’s about coming together and showcasing what is possible when we work together.

“Funds raised from all of our events directly enable us to provide vital financial assistance, mental health support and wellbeing services to those in hospitality when they need us most. I look forward to seeing our industry come together and help make 2026 an even bigger year of fundraising to ensure we can help more people than ever.”
