Published by Neil ThompsonMarket Harborough based Hospitality and Events agency, Sheer Edge Ltd, has once again got into the spirit and launched their popular ‘Festive Cheer Competition’ in order to spread some happiness as we near the end of an extremely challenging year.
Jo Ferreday, Managing Director of Sheer Edge says: “ This year has been very stressful for many individuals and companies throughout the world, we wanted to see if we could spread a little bit of festive spirit to all of our wonderful clients, our followers, supporters, and to anyone else that may have been supporting us from afar. This is a time we should all come together and support each other where we can”.
The festive campaign purpose is to give something back, not only to Sheer Edge followers and clients but for the actual venues and events they would usually be actively working with each year. This competition usually only runs for 12 days but Sheer Edge wanted to extend it this year throughout the month giving people something to look forward to in 2021.
Ferreday states: “The hospitality and events industry has taken a huge hit financially this year, with some having to think very wisely about their next steps, not only that but staff morale, mental health and wellbeing has been affected across the board”
The Festive Cheer Campaign has been running since the 1st December with a prize every 3 days, prize 4 was launched on the 11th, the 5th prize is on the 15th, the 6th prize is on the 18th, with a special christmas giveaway on the 22nd winner to be announced on Christmas Eve.
Sally Walder from the Amplify group, one of the prize givers said: “I was really keen to support the Sheer Edge Festive Cheer competition to help spread some much needed Christmas cheer in what has been a very tough year for our events industry and colleagues. Jo and the team at Sheer Edge have done a remarkable job this year of adapting to all things virtual, it has really helped keep our industry connected at this time and has shown that despite the challenges we face, there is always a way forward. Jo said: "Our relationships with the venues we work with are truly remarkable; they are always there to support us, so we wanted to give back to them any support we could”.
The competition will enable each venue to be showcased on all our social media platforms, giving the venue full exposure and support.
