Leading London conference and events venue, The QEII Centre, dazzled planners and agents at its latest summer showcase event, encouraging them to Dare to be Bold with their creative event design.
The venue’s third floor was transformed into an imaginative underwater wonderland for an evening. Featuring immersive theming and entertainment, provided by EPH Creative, including an electric eel zone, a sunken shipwreck and the opportunity to take a deep-dive using VR headsets the event showcased the incredible possibilities that can result from thinking outside the box.
QEII Taste, the venue’s in-house catering team, showcased their culinary creative flair with live cooking stations featuring a variety of delicious paella, ‘sea water’ starters including cucumber and ginger tea, chalk stream trout tart and a plant-based miso ice cream station with edible sand. The talented team also designed the ‘seafood floor’ - an artistic and impressive edible display of tempura sea leaves, coral tuile, savoury sponges and edible stones.
While the eye-catching graphic and light displays across the venue’s event spaces, were the brainchild of the venue’s skilled in-house audio visual and event IT team, QEII Live.
“This year’s innovative Summer Showcase perfectly demonstrates the incredible capabilities of our venue and its talented in-house teams. Whether it’s an exhibition, a corporate gathering, or a gala dinner, we believe events should deliver memorable experiences for attendees. With our new Dare to be Bold campaign and summer showcase, our goal is to empower event organisers with the inspiration and tools they need to create impactful moments in their own events.”
