TranslateAble Named Finalist for Sustainable Business of the Year at UK's Leading Language Industry Awards

TranslateAble Recognised for Sustainable Event Language Services at UK Language Industry Awards

TranslateAble, the only language provider dedicated to the events industry, has been named a finalist for Sustainable Business of the Year at the Language Industry Awards 2026, run by the Association of Translation Companies (ATC), the UK trade body for translation and interpreting businesses.

TranslateAble was also shortlisted for Company of the Year and Team of the Year, making it a finalist across all three categories it entered.

For corporate event organisers under growing pressure to align their events with company ESG commitments, the nomination reflects TranslateAble’s commitment to taking meaningful action in its business practices to support its clients in creating more sustainable and inclusive events.

In 2025, 100% of TranslateAble's onsite jobs were delivered using local interpreters and technicians, a 14% increase on 2024, cutting travel-related emissions, supporting local economies at the host destination and keeping client costs down by removing the need to fly language professionals in from overseas, or get a train further than their local cities.

The recognition follows TranslateAble's MSDUK accreditation, achieved in July, certifying it as an ethnic minority-owned business.

"It feels amazing to be celebrating alongside the ATC, especially in this very special 50th year for the association. Sustainability isn't a policy document for us or a tick box exercise, it's built into how we operate every day, from where we source our language professionals to how we show up for every event. We are continually looking to improve and being recognised for the work we’ve achieved to date, means a huge amount to the whole team."

Julia Danmeri, Founder and CEO, TranslateAble

The winners will be announced at the Language Industry Awards ceremony on 22 October 2026 at the voco Grand Central Hotel in Glasgow, part of the ATC's 50th anniversary conference.

For corporate event organisers looking to strengthen the sustainability credentials of their next event, TranslateAble's approach to local sourcing, accessibility and inclusive language services offers a practical way to align event delivery with wider organisational ESG goals.
