One of central London’s leading sustainable events venues, 15Hatfields, has recorded its best trading quarter to date.

The South Bank venue, which opened its doors in 2008, has achieved a 13.6% year-on-year increase in revenue for September, October and November 2024, thanks to its live business meetings and events bookings being up by 11.68%.

Interest in the venue, which is owned by the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health, has continued to soar as planners welcome its unwavering commitment to reducing the environmental impact of events as well as its flexible hireable spaces that in recent years have been extended to a second floor. As such, the venue can now cater for up to 530 and is popular for a range of events from conferences and exhibitions to awards ceremonies, product launches and wine tastings.

“In the past, November has traditionally been our busiest month for business meetings and events, so we are absolutely thrilled that this has extended to achieving our best-ever quarter to date – surpassing any pre-pandemic achievements. Our results certainly echo the Meetings Industry Association’s recent findings from their November Insights report that revealed confidence has returned to the sector, which has been further assisted by the suspension of the rail and tube strikes. What is abundantly clear is that event buyers see the value of face-to-face meetings with delegate numbers increasing and time continuing to be scheduled to extend events to allow for all-important networking. As a result, we’re witnessing a more generous spend on drinks receptions accompanied by either delicious street food and canapés post-event or enhanced breakfast options so that delegates can spend time connecting and collaborating.”

Warren Campbell, General Manager, 15Hatfields

Looking ahead it seems it’s a trend that is set to continue into 2025 for 15Hatfields. Warren said: “Already our forward bookings for 2025 are up 23% year-on-year with a substantial number of business meetings and events in the calendar for a complete range of industries. It is a true testament to our team that a good proportion of these bookings are long-term clients who continue to value our expertise alongside our unwavering commitment to reduce the environmental impact of events.”

He added: “We have a number of exciting initiatives set to launch in early 2025 to further assist our quest to help educate planners on how they can reduce the carbon footprint. 2025 is already shaping up to be our best year yet.”
