Central Hall Westminster will be marking the festive season by hosting five musical concerts that are guaranteed to bring Christmas cheer to audiences.

The central London venue’s stunning Great Hall will once again welcome the atmospheric Candlelight concerts in December with live performances by musicians set against the gentle glow of candlelight.

On Saturday 7 December, the London Sessions Quartet will perform a Tribute to Adele (6.30pm) and Hans Zimmer’s Best Works (9pm), before the City String Ensemble plays two performances of a Tribute to Coldplay on 20 December (6:30pm and 9pm).

Then, on Saturday 21 December, Christmas arrives with full force as the Fulltone Orchestra and guests perform their Christmas Concert.

The performance by the 50-piece Fulltone Orchestra and Cantiamo Singers, with guests tenor Emmet Cahill of Celtic Thunder fame and Classical Brit nominee Camilla Kerslake, features festive favourites, including musical selections from The Polar Express, Phantom of the Opera and holiday classics such as Winter Wonderland and Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas.

Actor Stephen Fry and president of Mind, will be lending his voice for the evening, narrating and adding warmth and magic to the performance which will raise funds for the UK’s leading mental health charity dedicated to supporting those affected by mental health challenges.

Central Hall Westminster’s breathtaking Great Hall, with its iconic self-supporting domed ceiling, was selected for its majestic, festive setting and incredible acoustics. All audience members will also be guaranteed a pitch perfect production thanks to the recent installation of a state-of-the-art PA system and audio solution by the venue’s in-house production partner White Light.

The venue’s central London location makes it accessible to those in London and further afield and tickets for all concerts are expected to sell-out quickly.

Anthony Brown, conductor and musical director of The Fulltone Orchestra, said the artists were ‘thrilled’ to be able to perform at such a prestigious venue as Central Hall Westminster.

He said: “With the mix of classic Christmas music, stunning vocals, and orchestral pieces, it promises to be a truly special evening for audiences of all ages. This beautiful space allows us to deliver a magical evening that not only celebrates the joy of Christmas but also supports an important cause, raising funds for Mind and the essential work they do for mental health in the UK.”

“We are so excited for this festive season and are looking forward to hosting more Candlelight concerts and welcoming the Fulltone Orchestra, Cantiamo Singers and its guests to perform in the Great Hall for the first time. It will be a Christmas full of musical cheer.”
